Although I am not the largest GTA collector out there, I do have some in depth knowledge about many of the r* collectibles and promotional items. I'm also really good at researching history on items amongst other things. Again, if I can contribute, I would be happy to.

yes!! I thought I was going crazy or something.  He put up his Liberty City Stories umbrella the other week and it shot up to £190 out of nowhere last minute.  Now it's been relisted

There are 2 supposed versions for the PS2 GTA Trilogy.  Anyone got leads??? me and @Vadim M. are trying to find out... Anyone got any Trilogy full copies?

I have GTA III and VC taken out of the trilogy pack - they were still sealed when I got them - and I know they were part of it since it says " not to be sold separately " or something like it on the back of the DVD case. They were dirt cheap and I bought them cause of the posters

 

Not sure if they could be exactly helpful, but hit me up if you need any particular info.

 

Also don't quote me on this one, but I heard Rockstar themselves sold each game separately due to higher demand or something along that line.

 Yeah I was talking with @Vadim M. on twitter about this different version. He made a checklist you could do.https://t.co/QjUCR4mH5W in this document. Check it out, let me know, check the San Andreas version for the recent 10th Anniversary song removals. He says that trilogy copy do exist, R* actually made a reprint of the trilogy around 2014 or so. Let me know...

Yes, there are at least two "GTA - The Trilogy" versions on PS2. I have at least 2 people, who shared me their photos. Their VC game was modified in 2012 and their SA in 2014.

The problem is, I have no idea how to distinguish this new release by simply looking at the box. It has the same barcode. I am not sure, but I think, that Sony did it only in NTSC region. The PAL release is expensive and almost no one sells it.

I know that new German copies of GTA SA are butchered as well. But overall, it is hard to judge if more copies are butchered since people are still buying SEALED copies to preserve them. On the other hand, Sony sees the demand and still produces them.

As you probably remember, I don't own a DVD reader/writer anymore, so sadly I cannot send you any data that may be out of any help immediately. 

 

I'll see if I can barrow or use one of my friend's and send you some data from these two I have.

 

I doubt this is helpful in particular, but I remember few years ago, around 14/15 indeed, there were bunch of these for sale on ebay (III, VC, SA - PS2 NTSC) that had been taken out of the Trilogy Set and were sold separately. People selling them, had like dozens upon dozens of these in stock. As I mentioned above, I vaguely remember something about someone - either R* or Sony taking these from the original Trilogy Set and selling them separately, don't know if that's a sort of a hint by itself or not...

 

Anyway, I'll send you some pics of PS2 NTSC III and VC I have.

@fairmanstuart and whoever else might be interested, you can check whether Johnny GTA Watson is still selling his. He mentioned himself, the mirror is a bit scratched, not quite in pristine condition, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind anyone asking and trying to strike a deal. Also, just like uNi said, not to many of these in circulation, indeed. Cheers!

@RIDE2DAY it's always kinda tricky with prices, it all comes down to agreement between the two parties, finding that golden middle where everyone profits. 

 

I would buy it in an instant for 500 even, if I had that kind of money to spend right away, especially considering everything looks so pristine and collectible, not to mention it's quite a sight to see, let alone possess.

 

That dartboard goes for much more, alone - same goes for pool cue.
