Guybrush Threepwood
Well Ford owns 1/3 of Mazda, and a lot of new/used car dealerships take other makes of cars as trade-ins then sell them again. It pretty much happens everywhere. I've seen Volkswagens with Peugeot dealership badges, no biggie. Generally dealers here will ask you if you're ok with them putting it on your car. I accept that they put the dealerships name on the licenseplate holder, but I don't want any stickers or whatever else on it. If I'm happy with my dealership I will let people know, I don't want to be a driving advertisement for them
tuff_luv_capo
I knew right by looking at that interior that Ford had a hand in it. Looks exactly like my escort did. Also, correction: It is a cherokee. I don't know or care to know anything about Jeep.
Doink
Does that say "Bob Utter AMERICAN" On a mazda? Well, that's my only criticism Nah. It says Bob Utter SHERMAN, the town I got it in. It does look like "American" though. Oh yeah, thanks for the clarification on the Ford ownership deal. I was wondering why I found the Mazda at a Ford dealership. swolo yaggins
I was wondering why I found the Mazda at a Ford dealership. Because somebody who used to drive a Mazda went to Bob Utter Sherman and bought one of their fine new or pre-owned vehicles. Not because Ford owns Mazda. 5192:12.3.02LM/SSHmkl

Not because Ford owns Mazda. And if the truth is too boring for you people: Bob Utter is a member of a secret society, called the American Ninja Transgressive Super Yeminites, or ANTSY. Him and his cohorts have been sending wave after wave of ninja's into cities to replace dealership stickers on cars, for theirs, even though a car was not purchased at Bob Utter's. The police have warned people that if you do catch a ninja fiddling with the stickers on your car, remain at a safe distance and don't look it directly in the eye. Mikal's explanation sounds pretty good right about now huh?

stretch.
Still, prize that mofo badge off.... If the Mazda designers had thought it would've looked better they'dve included it And... I'll stick in my little world where I can think it's funny that a non domestic car seems to have been sold by Mr Patriot himself.

You must've been lost at the point where it was said that it says Sherman and not American. And even if it did say American, how intelligent would it be to turn away clients because they want to trade in an import? Well Ford owns 1/3 of Mazda Insta-fail. Dealerships don't buy second-hand cars on the basis that the make of the car is a subsidiary of the cars they sell. It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it. 5192:12.3.02LM/SSHmkl
Picolini
Lots of times they buy cars as trade in's to add towards that persons new car. Chances are that's how that car got there.
Icarus
First car I owned was a 1994 Chrysler Intrepid. That car was f*cking awesome, until the motor gave out for the second time.

Might not be the case, but I still think the badge is a gaudy and should come off. Anyways, to career this back on topic, I'm going to be debadging the rear sometime this week, and giving it a proper valet, weather permitting. Guybrush Threepwood
Anyways, to career this back on topic I thought the topic was first cars To stay semi-on-topic; this is my baby. A BMW R1200RT, check out that bad-ass white shock It's my first real bike, not considering the trashcan I had before it. A lot of people comment on how big it looks, however there's a reason the police around here generally use these. They're nimble and fast as f*ck, and can be squeezed through holes you didn't possibly think it could. Plus girls go wild for that boxer vibration. But that's an added bonus. Picolini
I sat on a BMW bike at last years autoshow, not sure what bike it was, but it seemed pretty damn big to me, and I'm not too small of a guy. I mean, I could handle it I'm sure, but it wasn't small.

The RT has a damn good seat, in it's highest position I can sit comfortably for a good six or seven hours a day. And I'm a relatively normal 1.86 tall.
