stretch.
Aye, I've had a look at the 1.7 and 1.9 puma engines, but the pumas are most likely older than my fiesta, which puts me off slightly. As for the focus option, I'm tempted to try and source a last gen wrecked ST, 170hp should be enough But yer, I'm gonna be looking through insurance auctions to see what I can pick up once I've got about 10k or so, which admittedly could be a while, but meh Hot hatches are where it's at, so I'm sure at some point one or two have been wrapped round a tree
XcR
powerful engines in small cars is a bad idea. I drove a Corsa only the other week with a 2L red top engine which resulted in massive amounts of wheelspeen and terrible handling. I prefer my 1.7l diesel Corsa with a 1.5l turbo in it, thanks! RICHARDope
I drive a 1992 Infiniti Q45, what a piece of sh*t it is... ...but it's fun revving to 7000 RPM and scaring the hell out of people. All I need is a working radio and I'm set. 4.5 liter V8 + 7000 RPM = orgasm.

RICHARDope
I didn't say I hated it, it's just not in the best shape of its life. I wish I could afford to restore it though, but I can't
lurchseesu420
A 92 shouldn't need to be restored yet. Is it already falling apart? Shouldn't an a luxury car like that be built well enough to last well over 16 years. How exactly do you restore a unibody car anyway?
RICHARDope
Remember the phrase "POS"? Well there's your answer. It's still a step up from my previous car: a 1990 Cavalier Wagon with a 3.1. Now THERE'S a car that needed a new everything.

Power operated Clarion radio, on the other hand I think I am. At least the battery looks nice. Did it come from the factory with power steering and it just doesn't work? If so, throw out the power steering pump and ac compressor and you too can be hardcore like me. All jokes aside though, it's not bad. But seeing as where you live, you might want to fix the ac. Assuming you still have it of course. If not, oh well. Just means that I'm jelous of someone else now. I would get the A/C fixed, but it would probably cost more than the car's actually worth. 40C days are not fun at all with no air con!
Black-hawk
Pfff, driving around with a broken heater at -15 Celcius (5 F) and a crappy Renault engine that wasn't made for this kind of weather is where the bad-assery is at. Mornings usually start like this: BMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF....FFFFFFF.FFFFF.fFfFgfFFGRFRGRTGFHFGFHTFHfRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrhhh.. PFHR *dead*. Repeat this 10 times and maybe you'll be lucky. Edited January 6, 2008 by Black-hawk
