Are you motherf*cking sh*tting me? 47 free running in track gear? f*ck everyone involved with this game. In the last one you could run as a clown or a bird.. deathdealer
let's not jump any conculsions now, here's a couple of quotes from nick who is the community leader at IO Interactive on the hitman forums Those are Absolution concepts, yes. As with most conceptual art, they are always a little more dramatic than the end result. The whole game won't look like this, if that is what you are thinking... refering to improving the shooting mechanics Yeah, that's about it. Bascially, in the old games when the sh*t hit the fan, you'd do a reload because getting out of a situation like that was pretty near-impossible. Now, we're working to fix that. Stealth is still the ideal option, of course, but we're trying to make it so that you don't get punished for making small mistakes. Part of that includes having a gun fighting system that works better than in the previous games. he swears up and down that this won't be like splinter cell conviction. well, we'll see when the gameplay trailer comes out(if it comes out). as I said on the hitman forums, I think Io has enough IQ points to NOT piss thier fans off. darthYENIK
darthYENIK in a stereotypical nerd voice: THE NERDS ARE REVOLTING!!! Seriously, though. Boo f*ckin' hoo. I personally think this could work. I reserve my judgement for when I play the game, but I can get behind where this is going.
Tyler
I've lost 22% interest in this game. Silent Hill 8 stock risen 45%. It's early concept work, but the way they screwed with Kane and Lynch, I could see Absolution turning into Mirror's Gear Solid 5.

A real professional wouldn't need to resort to guns . Damn it, all this talk of Hitman makes we go and buy the collection pack that's currently on sale at EB. Contracts was the only one I played to completion and completely loved the pants off that one. Trying to get out of the lab/asylum at the start without getting spotted by the swarming S.W.A.T teams. Tense sh*t right there. Even if Absolution goes Batman/Conviction-esqe I wouldn't mind to much, but as long as I can take out my targets with wit/cunning, tactics, my fists/piano-wire and some well-placed silenced silver-baller shots to the head I'll get it. Agent pulls some weird ass sh*t in concept art all the time. Doesnt mean its going to include parkour. Kane & Lynch wasnt screwed with. It was CONTINUED with. Both games were complete sh*t, the second one was ever worse. But it doesnt mean they will fail with Hitman. it's f*cking HITMAN!!
AndyGanteks
Yeah, stop crying everyone, as i said, it could only be a mission, and we don't know nothing about gameplay, so til we know, there is nothing to talk about it. Nobody cares about stupid concept art anyways.
deathdealer
maybe this will install some faith that this game won't be another conviction http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/new-ga...-to-the-masses/ Blystad said the artificial intelligence (AI) that is featured in Hitman: Absolution is something that has taken the most time to develop. The gameplay revolves around player actions, and since there are many choices in every scenario, the AI had to be able to respond to any given situation at any given time. If you attack and enemy from any angle, than we’re able to have them fight back, or continue on in a normal state if you ignore them,” said Blystad. “There are similar things in games like GTA or these bigger sandbox games, but it’s on a much less granular level because we have a very strong focus on the abilities of the characters. You get so close to the characters in this game. They all have names, and they have all some kind of part to play in the story, so that they act as believable as possible is the most important thing for us. It’s the most central part of the game.”
Mr.Moffat
Dear god, we've waited years for some info on a new hitman and as soon as we get it, these slight changes are criticised and people are already branding the game as ruined. ffs, that picture in the trackies, whats wrong withh it? it's atmosheric and it signals to me that 47 is actually being hunted and is being forced to hide , his cover is comprimised, it looks interesting, and he is able to change clothes so it could easily be a disguise of an npc you see in this level and as stated there have been some silly disguises in older games, so whats wrong with trackies? Thhe hole in the gloves reall? does it bloody matter, they still sevre their function are black and leather. It's a trivial design change. And improving the shooting is a must, it was awful in older games, it was brainless. im all fr making shooting more tacticul and challaging. plus maybe they will introduce a new injury system for npcs so you can quickly injure them to prevent them escaping im all for it. but they must make enimies hard to fight in shootouts to detere from going trigger happy. Plus people will stillwhine and say but this is;nt a shooting game, but SILENCED weapons play a role in hitman, if bettter shooting means i can quicly and silently dispatch of an unexpected witness before an alert is raised brilliant. Jesus some people just can't be happy about anything.

Creed Bratton
“The Hitman games of past have been very hardcore,” said Tore Blystad, game director at IO Interactive. “Even though the fantasy of the Hitman universe has a very universal appeal, the games have been so difficult to play, that it’s been more of an acquired taste. The biggest challenge that we had with this game was to make it much broader in every sense, so that it was easier to play and more accessible, but still retain a very strong, hardcore side as well. We don’t want to alienate any of our fans who have been extremely loyal for so many years.” Whenever I hear something like "making it broader for bigger audience" I think "dumbed down for idiots". I hope I'm wrong in this case.

Dobleh
Recently, some fellas from hitmanforum got invited to IO studio. And here's their snippet about the game and Mr. 47. Well, just got back home and figured I'd do a quick vague impressions bit. Obviously I can't speak about anything remotely specific, but: The game looks great. It's very visually appealing. The ambience is great. Atmosphere is really good. There's quite a few new ideas introduced that make the game feel fresh, and that, quite frankly, is stuff that should've been introduced a lot earlier. A few changes from the basic Hitman format had me slightly worried, but if done right it might even be an improvement (and from conversations with Tore, it did seem like they put a lot of time, effort and thought into it). Didn't really see enough to tell if these changes would work or not. All in all it was promising. Will go into greater details (am already planning a review of sorts) as soon as Nick gives the go ahead (which may be a while, but we'll get there). I have to say, all of the guys I spoke to were great guys, especially Tore, who is just really passionate about the game and really gave off the vibe that he really likes the Hitman franchise and wants to do right by it. Sad to say we missed a night out on the town with the guys due to battery problems with Amp's cell phone, but that's another story. I thought he looked really good. I wasn't a fan of 47's looks in BM, and I thought he looked a little different this time. Kent and I were especially surprised at how much he looks (in-game) almost exactly like some of the renders and wallpaper art that you've seen recently (for some BM stuff and also some of the leaked Absolution stuff). That is to say, if you want to get an idea of what he looks like now, you should check out some of the artwork that's out there.

Mr.Moffat
When was concept art revealed that showed 47's face? Uh, new face To my knowledge, it was over on the hitman forums, someone managed to ehm retrive a photo from an ioi website showing his face, but it was quickly taken off, but alot of people who have seen it are comparing it too the old rendered ads from old games. So he looks like he always does.
