Maleficus
Well, I beat it tonight. I didn't bother with flags or Templars, cause unless there is some bonus to doing it (besides achievements), I think it's kinda dumb. my fight with the real Robert was awesome. I killed all the guards then did a hidden blade counter on Robert, with which Altair followed up on with a pounce and hidden blade in the neck, it looked so sweet. Can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2, there's a lot of directions it could go. Digïtál £vîl
I just finished Block 4 and was rather annoyed with the last assassination. When I first tried to walk over to the priests to get on the stage, I got stuck in the crowd and then the damn drunk bastard shoved me and the people I had trouble getting through suddenly flew out of the way and I was pushed right into a guard. So I just let myself die and tried again. Second time around I got into the priests but they only wait on the edge of the stage, so I ended up having to wait outside of the group and sure enough they see me. So after restarting the assassination at least 4 times, I just went in and killed everyone. It was hard, but I killed all the guards first, being sure to leave my target alive. Two of them actually turned tail and ran away leaving their leader behind but I was sure to toss some throwing stars in their direction. Then a simple sword swing to knock the guy down and a blade to the neck finished him off. When the scene was all done, I had no one chasing after me and could walk away free as I pleased. Guess I'm that badass.
jaymig53
I've seen a lot of bad comments on this game, but would you say it's worth buying for someone who just got a PS3? It really sounds like a cool game, but now I'm not sure.
geomy
Assassin's Creed is the best game I own. Warhawk and skate. are good also, but it really just depends on what you want in a game. Do a little research and choose the game that you feel you'll enjoy most. Try it before you buy it: renting games costs about 1/10 the price of buying. Forty
I've seen a lot of bad comments on this game, but would you say it's worth buying for someone who just got a PS3? It really sounds like a cool game, but now I'm not sure. It's a great game and worth playing, but I wasn't as pleased with it personally as I'd expected to be, so I traded it in for Mass Effect (which I'm ultimately happier about). As geomy said, it's more about what you want from the game. It's definitely worth checking out either way.

I really can't wait to get this game, but renting is probably the best way to go since there's no multiplayer and no reason to play after I finish. I think he was talking about Assassins Creed....which last time I checked is also on the PS3...did you enter the wrong topic? This isn't about Mass Effect, 40zfreak was referring to his trade of AC towards ME. jaymig - Ubisoft is releasing a patch for AC or working on it at the moment, so in the meantime just get Uncharted, it's a great game with a great story. I think it has tons of replay value because there are lot of treasures to unlock and other rewards so.....I am on my second play through on the hardest setting....I got both games on release day and started playing AC first but when I got Uncharted and just put it in to see the first level I just kept on playing....lol Edited November 27, 2007 by sainraja

sainraja
It's a stability patch for the game because its been freezing. The patch is suppose to fix it for those people having freezing issues. The game has frozen on me a couple times. It's not the system because you can easily quit out of the game by pressing the PS button. It restarts after that because the system is still accessing the HDD and you are not suppose to exit out when that's happening. EDIT: For the PS3 version, not the 360 one. The only problems I have heard of 360 version are glitches such as double Altair, messed up horses etc. I am not sure if those can be patched....and I think you can easily fix those by restarting the game through its menu. Carbine23
I just rented the game and so far (spoilers) The beginning is very boring...but when you get to Damascus it gets fun. I love pissing off the guards and escaping through the rooftops. I can't wait to get to Acre or Jerusalem (the christian cities)
Dalpura
I know we probably don't want another PoP clone, but god damn. This whole genetic memory machine lab bullsh*t is pissing me off. I'm loving playing as Altair, but this other crap has ruined it for me. And the screen tearing press any button to view the cut scene from another angle also, do not want. Vin.
.. Okay. So I just finished the game what the hell? For starters; the last assassination, didn't make much sense to me. But what do you do when you're walking around in the present time?
Ryunday
I finished it the other day. Yeah, I did both of those. But they're not important in the storyline, just allow you to read e-mails? Pretty much yeah. The emails flesh out the story but they're not required for completion. I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but at the end of the game when you see the writing in blood on the wall of your room if you check the old angry mans emails after the credits you see he gets a email talking about the subject before you. It say that after spending a excessive amount of time in the machine the subjects DNA would be altered and the subjects sometimes wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between their life and their ancestors. Causing the subject before you to write those things & explaining why Desmond gets eagle vision at the end of the game.

Everything's a f*cking travesty with you, man. My friend, a nerdy fellow who doesn't have high-speed at his house and has never connected his PS3 to the internet before, just updated his PS3 with the latest firmware. You know, the one that makes Assassin's Creed all unplayable. I probably should have told him, but he hasn't complained yet.

Voodoo
Altair abides. How can you check the old man's e-mails if you don't know the password? Here's the deal: Early in the game you'll go back to your room and notice the closet is open. Upon further investigation, you'll find a pass code most likely planted by Lucy. You can get out of your room with this and go read Lucy's email on the aminus console. Among other things, her emails alude to a pen pass that the old guy tends to leave hanging on his pocket. This is your cue to pickpocket him when you get a chance. The pen then gets you into the conference room to check the terminal in there. And voila, you're a golfer. sainraja
I have a question and I really hope it can be answered without a spoiler. I am stuck in the game, I have to assassinate TWO people. One in Damascus and one in Jerusalem, I can't seem to find any investigation missions. It's telling me to go up on a tower to find them, but I've went on all and sync'ed and still don't see any missions......help?
Rebel
Well I kind of had the same problem as you. I didn't go to a new part of the towns ( such as rich, poor district ) But when you do go there, find a View Point on your own, look for a tall building with eagles going around. Once you synced with one it should show up the investigations. If you've tried that, then do what I did. Just go into a new part of town again, and just walk around/explore on the streets and you'll eventually find investigations/save citizens and stuff. Well not all of my view points showed up. When you go into a new district and you look on the map I had like an almost blue glow over the district hiding things like view points/save citizens. If you have that, then you need to find a view point in the new district and just synchronize and you'll get that blue glow taken off so you can see the view points and stuff.
