Yes, but the Om0 strategy I found for Black Project leaves permanent stray yellow blips on a map. Intentionally introducing a glitch into the round is a violation of CG rules. Om0 is permitted in the CG, and I saw some speculation on a strategy to avoid the stray blips, but I didn't follow through to see if anyone has actually pulled it off. You'd have to test this for glitches before trying it in the round.

 

The easiest strategy for an AP Mothership would probably be the AP conversion trick (not sure what the common name is) involving the coffee cut-scene that makes anything AP. I suspect you are after the mothership from Black Project for the challenge but I wanted to include a more complete answer.

 

Added: You could get busted instead of wasted, but again - those pesky CG rules.

I don't remember the details of AP conversion enough to explain the procedure. The local guide for 2018 never got updated for the strategy, and the 2015 guide is a rambling wall of text. And it only describes one strategy in detail; there are lots of methods to pull this off.

 

The basics of the strategy involve using a phone call to get Om0 during a mission and then start a date. When you return home and are invited in for coffee the vehicle becomes AP. Wait until the mission timer expires to regain control of CJ. Destroy a vehicle of your choice by submerging it in water and then accept the invitation for coffee to keep the vehicle AP.

Wow man after all these years The chain game is still going. I might need to return and join back up. I always enjoyed playing it.

 

 

Question, I know you cant use modifications but I only mod my game to support a xbox one controller is that still against the rules? If it is thats fine just wanted to ask before posting for a turn

Do you mean GInput? That mod is allowed as far as the rules concern

Well as far as mods goes, QoL stuff like Widescreen fix, silent patch and GINPUT doesn't cause anything that could affect the chain game and they are approved so you should be fine.

The Chain Game supports and encourages the SilentPatch. Other mods included with the good downgrade packages are tolerated and don't seem to cause any issues, except 2DFX is prohibited.

 

If you are using any other mods then please ask for clarification. There are certain types of mods that can't hurt the save, but it's better if the admins make the decision on a specific mod.

All active girlfriends are always available for a date. Time of day should not be a factor.

I assume that many players will be using most of the common mods in the downgrade package, so we need to keep an eye out for new players using 2DFX, and you won't be introducing new errors if you use these mods too.

The term tolerated is intended to imply that we still have a hard-nosed attitude against mods, but we need to make exceptions in order to avoid excluding too many players. Silent and I actively work to maintain compatibility between the SilentPatch and Chain Game saves, and I've tested it as best I can - so it gets an approved tag. Some of the other mods could probably be approved if I had the same communication with the author and could think of a proper test. So the downgrader mods are tolerated, the CG rounds will be an on-going test, and we'll deal with any issues when they are discovered.

 

On the other hand, I get really cranky when I'm pressed into digging through the save archive to figure out who corrupted the data. Try not to be offended if I holler at you. Be honest about what you know about the problem and if necessary we'll ban another mod.

I can think of a few other mods that can't hurt the save file, but I don't want to offer any guidance to help you decide. If there is any doubt please ask.

Hey OrionSR!

 

I have a couple of suggestions:

 

  • Why don't we keep a few days gap after 1 round is finished.This creates a hype and also the players get rest (R148 started within few hours after end of R147)
  • Can we alternately do rounds of Modded Save then Fresh Save then Modded Save and so on.....?

 

P.S Can I use widescreen fix for chain game

Suggestions about how the game is run should be addressed to J.A.J.

I think that everyone agrees that an occasional fresh save game is a good idea but we don't have opening posts that are appropriate for a fresh save start. This question would be better phased as, "Can we use this opening post to start a round in the Chain Game?"

No issues have been reported with any widescreen fixes going back as far as I remember. Have I mentioned recently that 2DFX is banned?

The SilentPatch is recommended. Speaking of which, the latest version of SP has a fix for Engineless NRGs and other No Extra vehicles. There's a chance SP will fix some of the engineless NRG seeded to the garages of the custom save, but only if we did it wrong - which is a distinct possibility since we were copying the settings from the rare bikes we had saved and didn't fully understand how to set things properly.

And the CG saves have an unusually high spawn rate for engineless NRGs at the 4 Dragons disk because CJ spawns in right next to one when loading. I think this is supposed to be fixed with SP, so let me know if you find one.

Finaly got the time to play GTA. Stuck in home since week due to lockdown in whole country. I hope all you guys are taking proper precautions and staying safe.

the game crashes right after I finished hippy shopper courier, crashes before even reaching los santos after finishing chopper checkpoint and it loads tree on very last second when I'm on flight with shamal.

Maybe you should all the modifications that you are using (fastloader and all)

It seems to be a simple memory issue..
No more rooms on the ram and the game decides to crash?

OriondSR answered your question about the availability of girlfriends, but I'd like to point out other poignant facts petaining..

in addition to always being available for dates (one per day), all girlfriends do the kinky dates when wearing the gimp suit. (available in wardrobe from start). I point this out so that doing a gimp-suit date won't disable the two-timing script so that the girlfriends AP cars will still be available.

@JAJ You can see the Chain Game has slowed down, so my primary recommendation would be to keep 3-4 weeks gap in between rounds to build up interest

Huh. I was not expecting an unfamiliar player to be posting a starter save for round 150.

Yeah, something seems to be wrong with this save, not sure what yet. I think this is the same save JAJ had trouble loading.  I'm too tired to look into it tonight, but the glitchy health is enough to revert for now.

@BayuSumardi Any idea what I'm looking for?
