I knew someone would do this, so I did a little something just incase

 

No I did not forget what I said a month ago.

As you can see I forgot to edit in "Sweets Girl" Before so I thought I'd just edit it later because I did not feel like editing it at the time (So I took a screenie just incase). I just happened to edit it after calling the SnP. The original edit time was 17:30 BD time so this was 28 Minutes before calling the SnP.

Last turn I took it was one of the worst turns ever!!! After doing three races in SF (4 star) in the way home my game got stucked in SF to LS eleport near the valet parking  cryani.gif  cryani.gif  cryani.gif The worst thing is that I tried many times completing the races after a lot of flip outs and police running after my tail and in the end, stucked in hell  angry.gif  angry.gif

Looks like he was using the Victim warp zone and it froze up. It's probably not a problem with the custom save; those things happen sometimes.

@evil_hunter in your turn "Nines and AKs" you said that you collected special Tampa. It would be appreciated if you told us where did you put it, because it may be used by someone who doesn't know that it's special and he may not put it back. Of course you can use special vehicles but remember to put them back everytime you use them. wink.gifsmile.gif

Also that Sanchez which you also collected, if it's not proofed don't bother with storing it since there is already spawning PCJ 600 in Ganton garage.

That tampa is in ganton. As for the Sanchez, I just put it in there as I am used to putting cars in garages so that I can use it if I reload that save, I did not bother removing it and increase the no. of saves for no reason.

Well there is PCJ 600 spawning in Grove Street after completing Bike School. But I guess it doesn't matter anyway..

BTW if you store proofed vehicles use other more reliable garages, Johnson's house is quite frequent save place plus garage isn't very reliable, so some of your vehicles might disappear.

We sure miss you, at least I am. smile.gif Would be nice if you came back. BTW about curse cure, yes there is cure to ufo curse but it's very well hidden in save, nobody knows exact location except JAJ and other cg officers.

BTW @everyone is there anybody interested in reviving chain game rallies, if so please post what do you think. smile.gif

Yes, I am interested in reviving the CG rallies. It would add more fun to the chain game, maybe it will be a bit like what it was before maybe icon14.gif

I am actually trying the katie jumps rally since last week, the best I got was 8 jumps but I did not record since it was about my 15th attempt or so.

If we do revive it, we will need a new topic since rubregg is pretty much inactive.

I'd like to put in a good word for the Chain Game Rallies, although I'm not optimistic about being able to play anytime soon. A new topic would be a good idea. That topic is full of the early save editing experiment rubregg and I messed around with, and is full of confusing and outdated information. I noticed that the custom save links are still active. I'm really hoping the finished rallies will survive in some form. All three are really fun and interesting challenges.

 

It's actually pretty hard to meet the rally specifications during actual rounds of the Chain Game. We never really worked out how to integrate the rallies properly. The garages have been stuffed and the areas seeded with the appropriate vehicles for the suggested rallies, but that's about as far as we could get.

 

There was a bit of work done to write cleo missions for the rallies (I got pretty far on a Skipping Palomino mission), but we eventually decided that using cleo at all in the Chain Game should be prohibited and the projects were abandoned. But the coding skills we learned were very helpful for creating the current version of the Chain Game starting saves.

 

Anyway, I suspect a rally topic would work best as a spin-off topic that is independent in itself rather than something that is shoehorned into the current rounds, maybe. Perhaps this new crew can think of something better.

Good to see that you are also interested in reviving old chain game rallies. I would be able to do new topic as I originaly want, but if you want to do it yourself I will have no objections. Problem is that I'm kinda busy right now so it might take a while to do it, but I'll try my best.

Oh, no, sorry. I don't want host a new CG rally topic. I was just offering encouragement to anyone else who is interested. The current rallies are great fun and there is lots of potential for new rallies. The current CG rally format, as I see it, is that a custom save is offered and challenge is specified by the rally author.

 

The custom save is usually taken from current rounds of the Chain Game, which makes them the Chain Game Rallies, but a CG save doesn't need to be a requirement. The save could be taken directly from a posted turn, perhaps with the garages rearranged just right and saved to load a specific time. Or, the save could be modified with cleo, trainers, editors, or other modifications to get it just right for the specific challenge. In general, I feel players prefer the save to be fairly normal, but it really makes no difference in the context of the CG Rallies. Besides, you don't want the wrong weather messing up the challenge, and tweaking the save just a little can help a lot.

 

I would definitely like to offer my support to anyone wanting to craft custom saves. That's my favorite topic.

 

But as long as the rally topic is still undeveloped, there used to be another rally format that was popular for a while. IIRC, GTA Phreak played it for a while, I never got involved. These rallies were more generic challenges that would be available to anyone on any platform. The challenge would run for or week, or something, I don't really remember, and then the winner or next player would get to pick the next rally. I don't really view these as "Chain Game" rallies though, just something to consider. Perhaps a breeding ground for new CG rallies.

 

Here's an idea for a new rally. Fun with N.O.E.: Make a stunt video of the NOE mission.

It keeps showing up each time I restart, but a different color.

Would it be possible to participate in the SA Chain Game if you have the Steam version? Unlike Vice City, 1.0 saves don't work even if you have a 1.0 exe.

Steam version (v3.0) uses the same script as V2, so it shouldn't be a problem since all Chain Games of San Andreas are made on V2 scripts, the only thing that differs from round to round is the .exe used to create the starter save.

 

Try out any save from the latest Chain Game round and you should load it with no problems. icon14.gif

I don't really think there is a rule against this man so he couldn't have known any better in my opinion. How about from here on end we don't take turns simultaneously in any of the Chain games. I don't think this can be printed on the rules but it would be nice if the CG player doesn't do anything other than the CG turn if he/she calls it for example an SnP or a turn in another CG.

No, I haven't thought that anybody could take a turn there, since nobody did it in the past 15 hours. Besides, I don't really see what has one to do with the other. Firstly, there's no rule that doesn't allow me to do it. Secondly, I have 3 hours to post the turn, so what I do in that time doesn't matter, as long as I post in in the required time.

 

If anybody was waiting to take the turn, they should have taken it before I called it. Besides, obviously I was going to post first the San Andreas Chain Game turn, since it's more popular, that's what I also did. And stop stalking me.

Except for collecting and Vigilante mission does a Player really need more than Half an Hour?

3 hours is optimal, yes usually no one plays more for one and half hour unless they are doing things above. And btw @miromiro Sorry if I offended you with this, I didn't mean to offend you with this, maybe it was a bit too much confused.gif Also I only saw it randomly I wasn't stalking you.

It seems that it happens in San Fierro and countryside only, I have never seen this in Las Venturas anyone knows what's the reason why choppers are stuck under the ground, it's quite common glitch.

First picture is not a bug, after you open El Corona garage Andromada, and other big plane(forgot its name) will crash. It's hidden feature on chain game saves. tounge.gif
