JAJ, will there be something special for the 100th round?

New save? ph34r.gif Nah, I don't think so.... tounge2.gif But it's too early to think about 100th round, but it certainly must be special it's awesome milestone which this game reached(or will reach). I'm curious if JAJ ever thought about that game will reach that milestone.

Also Mateczko be quick if you want to do NGR challenge. devil.gif ...Just joking I won't do it. wink.gif

UFO curse is negative money pickup hidden in woods near Angel Pine. It's hidden in small wooden house with rotating ufo on the top.

Here is map with exact location of it.

Yup, what 0909090 said. It's quite annoying. Here's the Chain Game paragraph about it in the second post of the Chain Game topic:

 

 

"Ufo Curse"

 

A money pickup with negative cash value has been added to the game. It will subtract $5 million and can only be picked up once, after that it's gone.

 

It is hidden somewhere in the woods, near a big rotating Ufo.

 

If CJ goes to LV while in more debt than he could borrow from the casinos (gambling skill), he'll get attacked by Mafia hit squads. If you kill them, make sure to pick up their money - they are loaded.

 

When in debt, CJ can't buy anything including food. The only way not to lose fat (and eventually muscle) is to take girlfriends out on food dates, these meals are for free.

 

There's another one-time-only money pickup which revokes the Ufo Curse. It's rather well hidden though.

Highly doubt it, the chain game saves have not been modded since round 37 or something, don't bother correcting me if I'm wrong. So thats more or less 52 rounds ago. It would be nice if something special was done though.

Actually last modded save is from round 49. smile.gif I found them while ago and downloaded some of them from past rounds.

Round 49 was actually the last round in which rubregg participated. From there, he is no longer active. And thus no one has modified the CG save since then.

The Gimp suit only works with Millie as a no outside date.

Only two dates with the Gimp suit, after the initial meet, are required to get the Key Card.

Millie is the least annoying of all the Girl Friends.

Would you be able to do Firefighter if you did a mission and a race? Due to it not being a named mission.

Umm, I don't know what was wrong with my turn...

 

(3) All named missions exempt from the 'One Named Mission Rule':

 

- "BMX"

- "NRG-500"

- "Verdant Meadows"

- "Fish in a Barrel"

- Stadium Races

- Tournament Races (see above for restrictions)

 

I've done NRG-500 which is an exempt, and ONE tournament race "Little Loop".

Since when NRG-500 is considered as a tournament race?

I'm surprised weasel thought this was a problem, I've done stadium races + street races with a mission countless number of times before.

2 questions I wanted to ask-

1. Why does my game crash if I use the V1 save for independent save without V2 scripts (I have V1 exe)? If I use V2 scripts, it doesn't crash, even though it is written that a hybrid installation is not recommended.

 

The saves for independent play have fixed IPL flags, so the barriers and map objects should work correctly with your given version. That is, people with the v1 exe and scripts playing the v1 save should see all the barriers and objects properly. And so should people with the v2 exe and the v2 scripts. A hybrid installation is not recommended for the Independent Play saves.

I don't want to complete green sabre only to find the barriers not removed or something like that.

2. Why aren't Beat the cock and Unique stunt jumps necessary for completing the chain game? I know they are somewhat useless compared to burglary, but it gives an incomplete feel to the game.

Have you tried using the V1 scripts for the V1 save? You have to switch back to the V1 scripts if you want to play with the V1 saves, I think you switched to V2 scripts to play the chain game which is why the V1 saves don't work anymore. To answer your other question unique jumps and Beat the Cock are not needed to complete 100% which is why we don't bother doing it. We only do burglary to enable the infinite sprint option.

Yes I tried twice with it, it crashes when I do so. I am sure I downloaded the V1 save too. Another interesting thing is, the SnP uploader says that the EXE version is '2.00 or converted', not '1.00 Original'.

At the top of every CG's first post it says :

 

Script Version: v2

And thus everyone needs V2 scripts no matter if the game is V1 or V2 or whatever. The same applies to the Independent Saves, which is weird. I had the same problem, if I knew about V2 scripts I would join CJ much quicker than 68th round.

I too am expecting the v1 independent save to be 100% v1 compatible; ID, script, and IPL. The save linked for v1 independent appears to have a v2 ID (shouldn't matter but confusing when it doesn't match), v2 script version (that doesn't seem right), and v1 IPL plus a v2 carter object (which is also a bit odd for the independent save but shouldn't matter).

 

As long as you see the barriers at the start that save should run fine with v2 scripts. Or, I ran that save through my converter and it looks like it should work for v1 - as far as my tools can tell. I can't get the game to run properly on this computer so I couldn't test it.

I couldn't run that save with V2 scripts and I saw barriers too. I needed V1 scripts to play on this save. It's weird, isn't it? AFAIK on CG saves you need V2 script no matter if you have V1 or V2 version of game.
