It has damage, radio sound, handling, with one exception, The wheels are white and so is the floor of the interior. Anyone knows how to fix it?? gtamodcrazy Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 hey yea i noticed in gta united by looking at my ggmm program that the diablos car was added..a added car... i took the custom kitt that tobie made from modd.com and renamed the files to diablos.dff and diablos .txd and it turned the added car into the flamming knight rider but it had a white bottom so i just went into carcols and made both colors black and it fixed it...but no engine sound or radio..that sucks...i have found if you changed the name to the car you are replacing it usually excepts it if you use the ggmm program..because i took a 2012 tranam protype and replaced one of the kitts in the knight rider mod by changing the name to the default name through ggmm..and the car was still industrutable and had turbo boost...well i tryed on my own with gta united by adding a 1969 boss 302 mustang named BOSS 302..and i used the handling and all the rest of the data and the car visually showed up in the ggmm program but it crashed my game so i had to uninstall it..oh well ill read your tuturial hopefully ill get it right....by the way most of your links for the tools are 404 errors.......later Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Got some question as well and didn't find any answers here nor anywhere: Is it possible to park extra-cars via CLEO? Somewhere I read that it is, however I followed the description and it didn't work out - my car is not there. I tried it with CLEO and Mission Builder, by giving IDs and names - the car doesn't appear. I'm able to position regular cars, so I'm actually doin' it right somehow. Any ideas? Thanks! It seems at one time there was a file called handling_names.ini but alexander removed it from the last version of handling adder. I managed to add a car without using that file. I upped the vehicle model limit by 1 in salimits.ini, then added 612 Id and info to vehicle.ide, handling.cfg, carmods.dat, carcols.dat, and added in the car name to cargrp.dat. I added the .dff and .txd to gta3.img, and also added a value to american.gxt text document... The vehicle does spawn in game, however, it is half in the floor and half out. When I try to jack the car, I cannot even open the door. Its weird. The wheels are above ground, but the vehicle and driver are mostly inside the ground. It doesn't crash the game, it's just unusable. If I can just figure out how to get the model to work properly, then I can add some more cars. Any suggestions anyone? As far as the sound, I find audioeditorultimate just crashes my game completly, I dont even need to change any info in it, just having it it my main directory crahses the game, so I use the older [sA]vehicleaudioeditor.exe, which seems to work, although I cannot add extra sounds in sound bank folders of 138+ as that just enables all sounds in game to get mixed up completly. I have files d3d9.dll, saloader.ini, vorbisfile.dll and vorbishooked.dll in my main directory (if that info helps). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although my game is working properly when I don't add any new handling lines I put the one provided with the addon in (cars above the 'bike'-entry, motorbikes above 'predator') hoping there once will be some bug-fix for the HandlingAdder. My addon-cars use handling-files of other existing, more or less similary cars. So the entry in vehicles.ide looks like that f.e.: 265, addon18, addon18, car, FORTUNE, ADDON18, null, normal, 10, 0, 0, -1, 0.72, 0.74, 0 If you find a fitting handling, that shall do it. I also use the 'MoreVehicles.asi' which claims to make it possible to have 1000 vehicles ingame. If you use that one, you don't have to change anything in salimits.ini. With sound-tools I also faced the same problems - so I forgot about it. I use the sounds of existing cars. You need: 'VehicleAudioData.ini' and 'VehicleAudioLoader.asi'. For me that's enough realism. Ah - and 'UpDownLigts.ini' is a nice one as well, so other cars can have headlights like the zr350. Everything is coming from Alexander's homepage, and those proggies don't have any bugs. at72 Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Well, sometimes they don't show up immediately. Did you try to spawn it? Use the Vehicle Spawn Tool to do so, it provides a hotkeys-file where you have to fill in the car's ID. Start the game, then the spawner, hit <ctrl> + <key> and it should be there. Open up the handling names file and add you're new vehicles name in capitols, remember the name and what vehicle name above it is exactly. Also remember to stay in the group of vehicles you vehicle belongs in planes, boats etc. Save and close. What is the handling names file ? Having scanned through the postings in this tuturial it appears the file is no longer available. The tutorial is old and has not been updated. The techniques for adding cars seem to work for some people and not for others. At72 seems to have had some luck. Although I did not truly understand it all. I agree, handling adder does not work for me either. What is addon? I can understand you use the handling information of other existing, more or less similar cars, this was also my inmtention, to just copy and paste to vehicles.ide. But I do not understand what addon is? Do you mean you just add extra cars to vehicles.ide or is addon another file you also use? PLeasde can you clarify as it would be a big help. For me, 'VehicleAudioData.ini' and 'VehicleAudioLoader.asi'. do not work at all. Just having them in my GTA base directory messes up all vehicles sounds in my game, even if I do not make any changes at all to the files. Very strange. I use the handling-file it comes with and put it inside the handling.cfg where it remains ... useless. No other files are needed. The audio proggie I use is called 'VehicleAudioEditorUltimate'. Maybe you use an older version? If you got asi-Loader's files installed and play with the us-exe, I don't have a clue of what messes up your game, mate. Statements like 'for me it works' are not very useful neither sufficient, I know - that is also what I got to hear when asking: Somebody any idea how to place extra-cars via CLEO? It doesn't work for me ... Some people are able to place them, at least they're telling so, but for me they don't show up. Standard-ID cars do. What I want to say is, that there is no 'luck' or whatsoever in the 0-1-world, only a lack of information. @msq5 Looks for me like corrupted handling. I will try some experiments with using different handling lines to see if that will solve the problem of the car half in the ground. It looks like 'msq5' has the same problem from the photos he has provided. I have used VehicleAudioEditorUltimate, but as I said, it does not work and corrupts all my engine sounds, which is a mystery. The only version that seems to work is the older GUI version of vehicleaudioeditor.exe, however it only works sometimes . I agree that it is only a matter of finding the right information. This post seems quite dead at the moment apart from our communications, so in time if some others join the discussion, or if silvermanblue returns, maybe a more detailed informative solution will appear. Yeah, I added my car, it looks good, but it has no sound, and has no name. I done everything well with gxt editor and sound editor , but its still the problem because of that 3 step. Only type in first and last ID# and leave 'pairs' to '1'. Which gxt-editor do you use? I had a prob with a-gxt 1.0, it didn't save the changes anymore after a certain time. Strange bug. That's the reason why Alexander removed it from his page. There's no possibility to add NEW handlings without facing bugs as it appears. However, you can use EXISTING ones. And then - YES: You can add more cars. Everything is described and easy to understand (even I did) - so: Take some time and try it out! If you make backups, you can`t spoil your game.
