Adding (not replacing) cars to GTA SA

Ok I tried it but still all cars have bicycle sounds. maybe i did the pairs wrong but the new id i added was 612 so this is how the top of the ini looks

[iDs]

Number_of_pairs=2

FromID_1=400

ToID_1=615

FromID_2=612

ToID_2=612

 

Any other ideas?

Try this: Remove second pair, and edit the first one to "FromID_1=400" & "ToID=615

For me, all cars I've added works without problems. With CLEO and GtxHook you can add your vehiclename without edit the .gtx file!

 

A question, How I can put sounds to another ID like 18xxx? in the VehicleAudioEditor the range its 400 (in my VehicleAudioEditor 398) and 615.

 

Can I put 398-18xxx without problems? What's about the middle IDs used by default by the game?

 

And... I think it is a big but; Now, I can't enter in Loco lo go and Wheel Art Angels, all cars have now Paintjobs and the added cars has got ever secondary color sad.gif Am I only or anyone has got the same problem?

 

Put in the tutorial the GtxHook system, it's great to added cars.

Nope,I have an issue with the boss 429 that adds 4 blank paintjobs and alows the secondary color to be changable and i cant get in to loco low co. or wheel arch angels. Plus all cars are still bike sounding. It looks as if the only thing i can give cars sound to with is the Vehicle Audio Editor v1.1, which is easier to use than the .ini (for me atleast) but it only covers IDs 400-630. Unless it could be editid so that it would have IDs 400-611 and allow u too add extra IDs for added cars.

 

BTW: have u added cars that are moddable in loco low co. or wheel arch angels? that may fix it.

If you would like to contribute just make your you own steps for using the gxthook and cleo and I will be glad to add it smile.gif. As for fords problem I havnt the foggiest idea what to do, I think it may be a problem we have to live with.

Yeah, unless the Vehicle Audio Editor v1.1 could be edited like I said. But for now i can live with it.

How to add the name of the cars using Cleo3's GtxHook

 

This is a great method for add lines to the game without edit any Gtx file. Sometimes, edit that files can generate crash in the game.

 

1. Install Cleo3 mod, you can download it here: http://cleo.sannybuilder.com

2. Copy and paste all the files in your SA main directory.

3. Go to GTA SA\CLEO\plugins\gxthook

4. Copy the file GtxHook.cleo and paste it in GTA SA\CLEO directory (two levels back)

5. Go to GTA SA\CLEO\cleo_text and create a new file with .fxt extension, with the name you like (I used Added_cars.fxt).

6. Open it with Notebook or some text editor and now, you can add your custom names easily, with that format:

 

CODENAME <space> NAME

 

Example

 

KURUMA Kuruma GTA III

 

The max. number of characters in the codename is 7. You can add all names you want putting another line, example:

 

KURUMA Kuruma GTA III

SENTXS Sentinel XS VC

INFERTWO Infernus 2001

LANDTWO Landstalker GTA III

 

Enjoy your added car!

Or you can use Gunnies GXT.hook

 

Thanks! but the original author of GtxHook is Seemann, remember, I only do the tutorial and the way tounge.gif all the job it's from you and the authors of the .ASI files.

 

And put "CLEO3" how tool, it's better!

Well I emailed Alexander, since he created the audio editor ultimate, and asked him what to do, hopefully I will get a response and some help. BTW could someone just post the first part of their ini to the end of ID 400 just so I can compare it to mine and check for differences?

I found a bug, the HandlingAdder.asi close all modshops of the game. Then, we can't access to Loco low co / Wheel Art Angels. I think is better use another line of another car. For example, in vehicles.ide use in the handling part, the most similary handling from another car.

And then edit the handling.cfg and vehicles.ide so the cars are moddable in TF. And if u want different wheels i suggest the CLEO wheels mod just press 2 and choose the wheel.

Nah, bad solution. What's about the missions? Needs Savanna in Loco Low Go, it isn't a solution. The better way is not use HandlingAdder.asi I think.

 

And what about use Alexander's MoreVehicles.asi? I'll try this way.

Hi I was wondering if anybody could help me with the following:

 

I have added a H2 Hummer taxi to my san andreas game it spawns

in the game but the wheels are not touching the ground, its like the suspension has been lowered too much, making it undrivable. If I try get into it the game crashes before i'm even inside the vehicle.

i had problems with handling also and if bad i don't remember, Alexander Blade on his Sanny Builder page has no anymore his Handling Adder:

 

 

¤  San Andreas Vehicle HandlingID Adder (english) (n/a because bugged)   Описание : данная программа позволяет добавлять новые HandlingID в handling.cfg.              Description : using this tool you can add new HandlingIDs in handling.cfg.     Автор/made by : Александр Корякин/Alexander Koryakin/Alexander/Alexander Blade

 

 

So there is no other way, but using custom handling.cfg, his page have most of the tools needed for add cars : alexander.sannybuilder.com

parts as 'extra parts'? i'm not quite sure, but maybe you can use empty ID's to register them, as these are parts and make no other thing (no sound or particle emitter) for the car, maybe giving a try will make no harm (but just for being sure, back up your files).

 

If you have sometime replaced parts for transfender, maybe you will have an idea what files you will need to use for register them (i haven't tried yet, i'm making a Pyramid Head helmet so i haven't even think on that)

when I add cars the wheels aren't positioned right (either not even on the ground or the wheels dig into the road big time). I have added the handling.cfg and vehicle.ide lines as the Downloaded Cars readme instructs, I don't get it.

what is NAME?? ---> I think is a name of the vehicle.. but the other two????

sorry I try and it works... codename= name in handling.cfg , <space>=space, NAME=vehicle name in the game
