Suggestion for the next round: store a Towtruck in the Prickle Pine garage, along with the Tractor. I can take a Towtruck with me during the mission and obtain the BP/DP/EP/FP Maverick pretty easily. Beat the Cock: Palomino Creek to The Strip complete; both 'Beat the Cocks' have now been completed. I also completed all but one of the remaining Unique Jumps. No. Someone else can always finish off the golds later. I suspect fewer attempts are made if people work straight though without repeating lesson for gold until the entire school is complete, so I would recommend this strategy is you are so inclined.
