Supra4
This kind of tool is exactly what I've been waiting for. I have a lot of quality cars that I didn't install just because I ran out of car types that produced the right kind of engine sound. I guess this solves my problem. Now I only hope it doesn't cause conflicts with the Vehicle special abilities mod (which also uses ASI-loader). Freakenstein
Awesome tool mate! I been using it for a couple of days now as I wanted to add a few new train cars into the game. It was working fine and then this morning I fired it up and it tells me that my gta_sa.exe is not compatible and to find a US/EU 1.0 version. I know I'm using US 1.0 my gta_sa.exe is 14,380,032 and 14,380,056 on disk. I am also using SAn Andreas Train Limiter 3 to edit the GTA_sa.exe to add in these new frieght cars, would that have an effect? Supra4
and since this topic has been revived, I might as well use the opportunity. I've just gotten back into GTA modding, and have a strange sound problem with my new game. Depending on "some reason", I either have engine sounds or not. I never know beforehand if I'll have sound. Quitting the game and starting it again has a 25% success rate. I assume this is a Vehicle Audio Editor related problem. I've had this problem even with the default .ini settings. When I have engine sound, I have them the way I want, so it's not that the tool doesn't work. Since I occasionally DO have engine sounds, I know it's not a "." vs "," issue. It would seem that the game usually messes up the Audio Editor's data or something similar. game : San Andreas v1.0 (original v1.0 DVD-ROM which I've had for years) exe : 14.383.616 bytes (14.385.152 bytes on disk) - Hoodlum v1.0 english No-CD (the bottom one on Gamecopyworld's No-CD exe download page. Not sure if it's euro or US, but for some reason it only works with v2.0 savegames, doesn't work with the hot coffee .scm yet is fully moddable like a v1.0 should) OS : Vista 64 ultimate on a normally specced PC (Intel q6600, 4GB DDR2 1066, ATI HD4870X2, Gigabyte EP45ds3 MoBo) I use : Alexander's "no intro" patch, his "Vehicle Special Abilities" & "Vehicle Audio Editor Ultimate" ASI plugins and the samnos3 d3d9.dll. I tried removing the other plugins, but that didn't stop the problem from happening. It only got solved by removing the audio editor itself, which frankly is not an option for me. T.A.Z
first off, sry to post this in here since it's kind of off-topic but there is no related topic to your tool streamemfix.asi and your pm box was full so i post it in here i have found a bug it seems to happen to everyone i've talked so far about this issue.you stream memory fix for sa seems to not work correctly in the los santos area, if the angle of view is at a certain point or if you look straight to the bottom, the textures disappear or objects start to flicker.it doesn't happen everywhere but if you try this under the bridge in grove street you will experience that issue.(also tested this on fresh installation with no mods exept of srt3+ project oblivion 2007HQ) i hope you can fix this, since sackys stream fixer is not compatible to enb anymore and there is no other tool atm wich fixes the memory stream issue while being compatible with enb. thx in advance T.A.Z Edited December 2, 2009 by T.A.Z

fastman92
This is not simple to have more engine sounds. First you must add new bank in excracted folder from Alci`s SAAT Gui FrontEnd. Then create two folder "Bank_xxx", first of EngineOffSound, second of EngineOnSound with 3 sounds. Now edit sfx_import.ini and add entries. Load existing archive in SAAT Gui and save archive. Change in audio data of vehicle in VehicleAudioData.ini this value, read it attentively: EngineOnSound = your added number of bank with Engine On Sound + 6 EngineOffSound = your added number of bank with Engine Off Sound + 6 As we can see car sound in VehicleAudioData.ini must be increased by six, to be compatible with sounds in GENRL This post is only for advanced people. DivanteBlack
Hi am an experienced mod finder and compiler and am currently working on a total conver. of gta sa. I have come to notice that the ID's used in vehicles.ide in gta's directory seem to have a connection that i believe is linked to parameters in the .exe . I am currently using silvermanblue and tuts vehicle adder information & linked tools to add vehicles to gta sa without replacing the old ones using blank ids. But some ids aren't blank at all. For example the id 520 in vehicles.ide, which is the hydra, has specific information the relates to just the id and not the model and .txd to which the line defines. What I am trying to do is find the location of this information and copy it to other ID's. Proof of this effect is present even in your vae mod. If I copy line 520 in vehicles.ide and and use it in a line labeled 612, it will neither have sound nor the same moving animations or handling of the original (520 id) hydra, regardless of the fact that nothing has been changed. (and using your mod makes no change) What i ask for is one, how can I view the .exe what program is need so that i can find the answer myself next time, and two is there a way to assign a new, ID in vehicles.ide, with the same effect as the hydra, shamal and other flying vehicles, i have noticed this is also occurs in other vehicles as well. Thanks ahead of time and good mod:)
fastman92
Unfortunately you can`t easily decompile exe to C++ and simply edit. I`m sure that informations about hydra sound are saved in gta_sa.exe. But you can download hex editor ( I recommend Cygnus Hex Editor Full ) and edit his file. At first you should try to search value 520 (hydra id) and change to your own ID of new hydra. After a lot of trials probably only new ID will have hydra sound. When you know where is this information in gta_sa.exe wonder if there aren`t empty slots for hydra sounds. Maybe they are. Disassembler can help you too. When you find it in exe, it`d better if you did it on memory addresses.
