Am I the only one that thought SA..

Well, I enjoyed GTA SA very much buuut......I have a few things to say that may seem to support some of The Killa's prob with the game. I wouldn't say that it totally sucked or really that it sucked at all but compared to California well.......

For one the size is all wrong but VC is wrong too, Miami is freakin huge and the surrounding area has allot more to offer too. GTA III well, New York aka Liberty City is fantastically large as well. So, as for size and activity all three games were lacking but then again.....these are games and if you live in an area that is being simulated in any way what so ever you are going to be let down.

I have been to all the real counterpart cities these games are emulating and there is no way to simulate the real life experience and although things will improve in coming years people that live in areas will still find key missing elements regardless of the games themselves.

To tell everyone the truth From LoDi to Lake Tahoe and a gazillion other things the things I would like to see in a represented area will most likely never make it to a video game. Cali after all defies digital representation thus far and most likely this will continue and the commercials are not even close.

So, I like GTA SA very much but I prefer the real California to the gaming version any day......I may have to visit again soon and my family could use a good road trip. It has been awhile and I have some dear friends I miss very much but then again Chicago to New York, Miami to New Orleans to Huston Texas, Seattle Washington to Santa Montica California there are good people everywhere in America and I am blessed to know many of them and they are all worth visiting regardless of the way the media and online critics present Americans. There are real bastards everywhere too.

IN Finality, from a person whom lives there The Killa has a point worth remembering. Game represented areas are not the same in real life regardless of the simulation and at best in the future you will be on the otherside of halfway there. The same is true of the rest of the world too of that I am sure.

At least that many.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_population

6.6 it is thought at this time....More or less that is, depending on the birth to death ratio and so on.

But GTA SA is an era of gaming to remember and I still enjoy it from time to time.....record breaking can be time consuming as collecting vehicles can be.

Just to clarify things here, it was Liberty City

that was based off Miami, not Vice City. VC was more or

less based off of Destin or St. Petersburg.

P.S. New York is (supposedly) GTA 4, which

by the way, will sell out so fast that it'd make

games like Bioshock look as crappy as

Enter The Matrix

Its all a matter of opinion. Who cares if you don't like it? Thats your opinion, most people here Im guessing do too. And arguing about is going nowhere, no point in trying to change someone else opinion, it won't happen.

are you serious? Vice city was obviously based on miami, liberty city was obviously based on new york. seriously though guys, cut the topic starter some slack, the best thing about SA was the gamplay, as far as storyline and envirinment, it wasnt captivating enough and they didnt do the best job on the ghetto theme. the story wasnt really for cj, the beginning started good, but some street thug running games with BIG people isnt very logical. i mean honestly, do you think some guy who runs pretty much everything in a city, is going to trust a gang leader to do some work for him?

GTA III and VC are astonishing but San Andreas rules over them all

If certain people don't like SA then alright fine, but from my POV:

SAN ANDREAS RULES rah.gifrah.gifrah.gif

I am with Night Fox on this one. Like, I said though, I understand living someplace can taint your view but the game rocks on its own merit or it doesn't regardless of where you are frrom.

Just to let my stand be known.......I have played GTA SA instead of lots of other things some of which effect survival.....So, I have had to ease up at times.

Showers, Food, Sleep, Sex, Friends, Family...All these things and many more have gone with out my attention on many occasions.

GTA SA for the win! Version one will remain a classic for years.

Guys, lay off The Killa, y'know? It is in his own right to hate San Andreas; it is his opinion. And isn't everyone entitled to free speech?

Seriously, if you like San Andreas and are just posting to say 'shame on you', etc., then you're simply posting for no reason. Wouldn't you like it if someone said 'shame on you', 'dirty ratbag', 'you suck', etc. just because you follow a particular sporting team or you like a particular television show or something? No.

So guys, if you're gonna post, then post something productive. You're making yourselves look bad instead of him.

Ah, the power of opinions. Don't you just love it how humans respect each other's opinions, and don't start petty arguments?

I personally loved SA. It was my favorite of the series, and I thought the characters were the most real, and believable.

Big map? Loved it. I learned every single side street and alleyway within my first week of playing. Tons of country and wooded areas? Hell yeah, that was awesome to go off roading in.

I agree with your opinion on the sound though. It was not as good as it could have been.

The radio however, I loved. Every song in that game is great.

[/opinion]

Please guys, let's not argue. Sure this guy kind of 'insulted' the game that many of you love. Just play the game, and enjoy yourself. You won't lose any sleep thinking "How could anyone hate this game?"

i seriously doubt that you would learn EVERY SINGLE SIDE STREET AND ALLEYWAY cos there are way too many for that to happen.

I think we've determined that GTA SA certainly did not "suck total balls"..(sounds like Jay).

wow how could you not know your way around los santos and san fierro and lv?

plus the countryside and desert don't even make up half the map they are the size of LV at the most. Plus the desert is fun and the countryside is for missions, it's not wasted map space, LC sucked to me as a city because of mainly the fact it was just the city everywhere you go, the neighborhoods are apartments until you get to shoreside vale.

I think its a great game overall but the weakest of the three imo due to several points

.I can't get used to the Gangsta style

.The weapons sound very weak compared to the other 2 games

.Some of the missions are damn right infuriating

.Graphics don't seem as clean as the other 2 games

It also has its advantages compared to GTA 3 and Vice City though

.Online is really good: www.sa-mp.com

.Lots of stuff to do compared to the other games

.Lots of new vehicles to mess around with

Apparently, many people complaned, that gangsta style goes away after the green sabre mission.

Works perfectly for me, back in 2005 i switched to SA from VC and did not notice anything, same as now i switched to VC and did not notice anything either.

Didnt demolition man in VC drove millions of people crazy??? Thats the thing that is present in any GTA game - the bloody level which you cant pass. Apparently, The demolition man was hellish easy for me.

.Graphics don't seem as clean as the other 2 games

Watch SA and VC trailers on Youtube. Both games are OK, but the difference between cartoonish VC and realistic SA really shockes!

And i think online game is the same as in ]I[ and VC isnt it?

Actually, no. I never have to look around my map, because I see landmarks, and know exactly where I am.

There isn't an inch of SA map that I don't know. (Except blue hell, but that isn't technically the 'map')

i cant really understand a word your saying here except

"sa i can do in a day"

unless you got up at 6 and went to bed at 12 playing ABSOLUTLY non stop this would bo extemly hard to complete.

Well for me, the guns in San Andreas sound much different and less powerful than Vice City

Demolition Man was really easy for me, San Andreas has the Zero missions that are rediculous and all those flying practise missions that are just silly

The online modes in Vice City and San Andreas are MUCH different,i won't go through all the changes but considering vice city supports 26-32 players,San Andreas can support up to 200 people, that alone makes it radically different

Lmao, I couldn't understand either. He said that he can complete San Andreas in a week.

@Kenna: Again, just because Vice City has two major islands doesn't mean it's smaller than the two other cities. Liberty City has three main islands and they were smaller than the whole of Vice City.

guns shot didnt sound real guns

Again with the guns. They sounded better in GTA III and Vice City, didn't they? Instead of where here most of the guns sounded the same and were hardly unique.

I agree on the whole missions thing -

I could get through most of Vice City story

but when I had to buy all areas and complete

all those missions it was too infuriating.

SA I can beat. The only mission I really

had trouble with would be Zero's Supply Lines.

But then again I don't think there's a soul

alive who beat it on their first try.

(FYI the strategy guide makers used a cheat

device to get past it and to get to Zero's next

mission)

At least it's a side mission, unlike VC which

got very boring for me ten minutes in
