radioman
I found something from the previous round that is kind of odd/funny, in round 2 you guys broke the rules by doing the races after End Of The Line and thus did not make it the final save. End of the Line was done, then everyone started doing the races, but in the rounds after that, End of the Line was done last. Another thing I found funny, is how we restarted round 6 because of the barrier glitch, when all we had to do was go back and have the opposite version do that area opening mission. So I think the current round is technically round 36, as round 6 was not a completed round.-if only we knew about the barrier glitch fix back then-lol. Also, remember when not too long after I started playing the game, how we kept getting the "pimping" mission glitch for a while, til we figured out what it was. By the way, congratulations Rubregg for keeping track of all the Chain Game rounds here and for coming up with the current round's(37)'s starter save. Also, congratulations to Girishb for doing the stats for the game, and JAJ for hosting the Chain Game. and the rest of the officers' I forgot to mention for also helping to keep the game running smoothly. rubregg
(...) in round 2 you guys broke the rules by doing the races after End Of The Line and thus did not make it the final save.Good find but we didn't break any rule - because back then, this rule didn't exist yet. The bit about doing End of the Line last only got added to the rules in round 8. Another thing I found funny, is how we restarted round 6 because of the barrier glitch, when all we had to do was go back and have the opposite version do that area opening mission. So I think the current round is technically round 36, as round 6 was not a completed round.-if only we knew about the barrier glitch fix back then-lol.True about fixing the barrier glitch - well, we've surely learnt a lot of details about all the modding as we went along. About counting, well we just kept counting on. Probably all the better, makes the list in this topic less confusing. Otherwise we would have two entries for round 6 now... Also, remember when not too long after I started playing the game, how we kept getting the "pimping" mission glitch for a while, til we figured out what it was.Actually I don't remember that. Could you post a link? This might be something for the "Memorabilia" collection... Yeah, JAJ contributed a lot for the players' list in this topic too, and girishb's stats also help a lot - good chance for me to say THANKS to them too. GTA Phreak
Also, remember when not too long after I started playing the game, how we kept getting the "pimping" mission glitch for a while, til we figured out what it was.Actually I don't remember that. Could you post a link? This might be something for the "Memorabilia" collection... Heh, I can remember that. It was the 1. round that I played from the beginning and I almost caused 2 round restarts http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=291366&st=

rubregg
Thanks Phreak and radioman, I found it... Another thing I found funny, is how we restarted round 6 because of the barrier glitch, when all we had to do was go back and have the opposite version do that area opening mission. (...) if only we knew about the barrier glitch fix back then-lol.Very true. ...by round 17 we were still struggling with that. Also, remember when not too long after I started playing the game, how we kept getting the "pimping" mission glitch for a while, til we figured out what it was.Heh, I can remember that. It was the 1. round that I played from the beginning and I almost caused 2 round restarts This glitch occured in rounds 15, 17 & 18. And yes, it seems that sometimes the wrong starter save gets posted. ...and some more, while browsing through the old topics. I'll put all this on the front page: Some added features became so familiar that they were sorely missed in unmodded games. We've had some busy times, but occasionally things do calm down. cacarla
Here's something weird that happened on my turn in Chain Game 29:http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=354751&st=40 Dunno what happened. I didn't get busted, but GTA SnP said that I did. We didn't actually figure out what happened, but I thought we could add it to the front page anyway. (My turn was on the page before that.) Yeah, I read this post as i joined in round30, besides Chain Game 29 was long long ago and now already 9 rounds have passed . Sorry for deleting the post instead of quoting it . This should go to the front page as well. Edited December 15, 2008 by cacarla
rubregg
Front page updated to include the players of round 38 and the link to round 39. Also added 123robot's quote and cacarla's goof-up.
Girish
In the Players list from Round 1 to 7, you have misspelt 'crazyanurag' as carzyanurag. Just noticed, so you might wanna correct that. Edit: lol, I forgot I can edit posts. Well, I corrected the typo but I think I screwed up some of the codes in the first post. Can you correct that, Alex? Edited December 29, 2008 by girishb

rubregg
Well, I corrected the typo but I think I screwed up some of the codes in the first post. Can you correct that, Alex? Thanks for noticing the typo, girishb. Don't worry, it wasn't you who messed up, it was the board. Somehow the jumpto and anchor tags always get messed up as soon as you edit or quote a post that contains them (happened in the checklist of round 37 too, right?). Codes and typos should be fixed now.

Stefan. Thanks in advance. By the way, good job with this; I remember posting in this in October 2007.
rubregg
Hey can you change my name from the rounds back in November/December 2007-ish, or around that time, to Stefan. which is my current name? Thanks in advance. I'm sorry to say that I'm a bit reluctant to do this. The thing is, this topic is meant to be a look into the past, and back when you played the old rounds, you played them with the nick you had back then. I sometimes scan the old rounds and reading some old player names gives me good memories. Btw, Girish and Ryan are in there with their old nicks as well. By the way, good job with this; I remember posting in this in October 2007. Thanks, and hell yes, you had the first reply in here.

rubregg
- this quote is quite incomplete, note my reply: Nice work ruby (can I call you that?) Don't you dare, mate!! Anyway, I also skimmed through the topic so lemme just hand out the Best Conversation Of Topic Award, which I have made up on the spot: how you play this sh*t You can read the sh*t about how to play this sh*t <here>. Nice one, JAJ! [added to memorabilia section] Edited February 20, 2009 by rubregg

Nice work on the hall of fame, rubregg. I like reading the old topics for any other f*ck ups that arn't in here. (For example, the Horseshoe glitch in Chain Game 1.) It's more for privacy reasons though.Ok, I can see that point. I'll make an exception and change your old nick to "Stefan M. C." (I fixed my last post too). You do realize though that your old nick will still be around plenty in the old topics, wherever someone quoted you... Hahaha! That's hilarious! Nice work on the hall of fame, rubregg. 123robot
While reading through Chain game 2 I noticed this: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=234995&st=20 It's the 6'th post on the page, made by JAJ. rubregg
@123robot That happened before I was around, so I don't know any details about this incident. Sounds as if someone was caught cheating though. @hmvartak Your quote is definitely a caught cheater. By now a well-known repeating offender, I might add. Cheaters will not be honoured with quotes on the front page. Glad to see you like the old topics though.
