Now before you get mad at me for saying that, hear out my argument: Futurama has more well-written storylines than other animated television shows, yes. However, it is not as funny as it should be to get all of the praise that it does. Also, when Futurama was on the air, I never knew anyone that loved it. Now that it's off the air and reruns are all you see on other television stations, it has become the popular thing to bash FOX for canceling it...the whole bandwagon thing... As a matter of fact, I think it finally got the attention it deserved when it was canceled. If anything it looks like you are trying to look cool by calling a good show overrated. Seinfeld was actually popular though. One major publication said it was the best television show of all time. You can compare anything to anything, but Seinfeld was amazing and different than the crap that used to come on television. All of the sitcoms today still suck...According To Jim...My Wife and Kids...all that crap... Like I said, though, Futurama has better storylines than other animated television shows. In recent years though, they got rid of shows that would thrive on networks like NBC or CBS. Most notably Arrested Development.
