SA Man
I have a windows 98 and I already installed the game. Whenever I try to start the game it comes up as needing 800x600x20 video mode. I don't know what this means. Is the something to download to get this or what?

CCPD
You can't use mods on PS2, and don't double post. Someone else might be more helpful with your problem.

Dolven
Please post your system specs, so far you’ve only told us your running on windows 98, so unless you’ve recently upgraded your PC I’d imagine your other component’s don’t cover the SA Minimum Requirements CCPD posted above. SA Man
How can you upgrade the PC? Is there a download for that? possibly a stupid question.
Dolven
You need to post your system specs so we can tell you what you need to upgrade, • Operating system (XP users: be sure to mention if you have SP1 or SP2) • Video/Graphics card type + graphics memory • Processor • RAM (random access memory) Maybe it’s time for a new computer? VCHolmes
800x600x20 800x600x32? Right click on empty space in desktop > Properties > Settings Set the Screen Resolution slider to atleast 800x600 and the color quality to 32 bit. OK I got the specs right here Windows XP Version 2002 Intel Celeron Processor SP2 996MHz 256 MB of RAM Please read the posting requirments: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=264413 It will be of much help to you. If you are running on Windows 98, San Andreas will refuse to run on an operating system lower than Windows 2000. You could always upgrading your operating system. VCHolmes
It's already on 800x600 but the color quality only goes up to 24. Please tell us if you're running on Windows 98 or Windows Xp, I'm a bit confused on that. A I suggested before, it might be better to upgrade your operating system if its Windows 98. Also, make sure that you've got the latest drivers for your graphics card. If your PC is too old, perhaps its time to upgrade it or get a new PC.
