gtamodder7
Hey, I recently downloaded the Vice City Radio Station Decoder, and I have converted some of my favourite tracks to .adf files. But how do I get these into the game?? Can I put the tracks in separately and randomize selection, or do I need to mash u a bunch of MP3 files then convert it, or what?? I would like to be able to get my own music in the game, with minimum software. Thanks
VCHolmes
and I have converted some of my favourite tracks to .adf files. That's not necessary. Just use MP3s/WMA/WAV files. Either copy-paste these files in the Game Installation Folder\MP3. Alternatively you can paste shortcuts of songs or shortcuts of folders containing your songs in this location. gtamodder7
I've just done this, but now when I get in a vehicle, it still doesn't play them? Is there anything else i need to do?? Edited October 3, 2007 by gtamodder7
VCHolmes
I've just done this, but now when I get in a vehicle, it plays neither my songs or the preset radio stations. Cycle through the radio stations till you reach "MP3 Player". Did you use shortcut of songs or the files themselves?
gtamodder7
I copied and pasted the files. Is this ok?? I have tried cycling through the stations and there's no MP3 Player. Should I restart VC??

VCHolmes
That's no problem. Just wanted to know if it works, it been a long time since I added my custom tracks. Should I restart VC?? Ah ye, restart the game, so that the songs are read by the game the next time you start it up.
JEGO24
I'm having the same problem. I copied and pasted the music I wanted to my user files and I restarted the game and the music is not there. Sometimes it says I have files waiting be written to the CD. Well as everybody knows you can only add files to a writable disc. What am I doing wrong? If you read one of the posts above-- you shouldn't put the MP3s in you "user files" folder... put them in your MP3 folder... Rockstargames/Grand Theft Auto Vice City/MP3 See if that works.... apparently you can paste shortcuts to it... I've never done this so I accept no responsibility if it does not work. JEGO24
Do I need to reinstall the game, because I don't have anything titled MP3 for the game.
JEGO24
Scratch that. I got it! I was just looking in the wrong spot. I had that same problem with my GTA3 game too. No problems now, thanks.
