boofhead_racer
g'day everyone the problem that i have is that there is no audio, and in the setup menu it says i have on audio hardware. now before everyone turns around and screams "PIRATE !!1!1" my copy is legit, and wasn't "found" on the net.... ohh no it was found in my cd collection, cause when i was big into moding VC i made a backup of the VC folder (the one in C;\program files\r*\vc.... etc) on a cd, anywho, the coppy im using atm is the backup off the cd i made back b4 my HD crashed. now does this mean i have to reinstall it (cause i lost the install disks (note to self, keep house clean)) ok now problem 2 the graphics are sh*tty, like before my PC died i could play SA and VC and everything was sweat, now tho when i play vc the drw distance seams shorter then before, also when using sketchup if say im drawing away and i decide to paint somthing, after i close the paint menu, the menu "image" is still there even tho its closed and it stays there untill i rotate the model, and Zmod is imposible to use. i think that it is a graphics driver issue, but i don't know where to update it. finnal question....... does anyone know where my install CD's are Adam
VCHolmes
Maybe you should find those CDs and install from them. Also , consider deleting the .set file in "My Documents\Vice City User Files". If you do have a pirated copy of the game, the only solution would be to get the original one. Ring_of_Fire
g'day everyonethe problem that i have is that there is no audio, and in the setup menu it says i have on audio hardware. now before everyone turns around and screams "PIRATE !!1!1" my copy is legit, and wasn't "found" on the net.... ohh no it was found in my cd collection, cause when i was big into moding VC i made a backup of the VC folder (the one in C;\program files\r*\vc.... etc) on a cd, anywho, the coppy im using atm is the backup off the cd i made back b4 my HD crashed. You have to reinstall the game again and install the radio stations (do not uncheck the box). ok now problem 2 the graphics are sh*tty, like before my PC died i could play SA and VC and everything was sweat, now tho when i play vc the drw distance seams shorter then before, also when using sketchup if say im drawing away and i decide to paint somthing, after i close the paint menu, the menu "image" is still there even tho its closed and it stays there untill i rotate the model, and Zmod is imposible to use. i think that it is a graphics driver issue, but i don't know where to update it. What's your system specs and what's your graphics card? If you have CCC/Forceware, go and max out the AA/AF in there. Now delete [.set] file and launch Vice City. Max out the resolution (32 bit) and max out the draw distance. And if you have onboard graphics, the graphics will always be crappy. You cannot really tell any difference between crappy and crappy graphics. Edited October 3, 2007 by Ring_of_Fire
gtamodder
You should try deleting the .SET File in My Documents/GTA Vice City User Files/gta.set. I had a problem similar of what you have, and deleting the .SET File did the trick. And as Ring Of Fire said installing the radio stations on your hard drive may do the trick, because they are not on your Hard drive, only on your PLAY disk. Hope this helps !
