E.A.B.
Will they sell a lot of software? Certainly. Will it sell hardware? I think it's an open question... I think that the Halo 3 consumer already has the hardware, because they're playing BioShock and Crackdown and a variety of games that are, in the end, quite similar: first-person shooter experience, multiplayer capable online. Tell me what's new? Source Honestly, I agree with him, not that Nintendos doing any better though. lolminigames yeah, not really news at all and about as worth as a story on what he ate today, but the man does speak the truth, to some extent. Quotable notables: Yeah, you said basically what I would have said. The norm on the Wii is just random games with random mini-games. Sorry, Mario Party is fun, but I'll take Halo over it any day. He's got a point. They (MS) just blew their load. What are they going to do post-halo3? God, I can't wait for people to realize that First-Person is a perspective and not a genre with stone-set game mechanics. Honorable mention: if the wii is just randomness and mini-games and the 360 has only fps, then where the hell does that put the ps3? oh yeah non-functional tivo for the time-being

Digïtál £vîl
I can tell you from personal experience that Halo 3 has sold consoles. Why? Because I was at Best Buy today trying to trade in my existing Xbox 360 and could not. Why? Because all of their 349 dollar units (the premiums) had been sold out since Halo released. The only systems they had left were the Halo 3 Special Edition systems and while I wanted to do that, they wouldn't let me keep my hard drive so I have to wait till next week. I wanted the Halo 3 SE ones cuz those supposedly have the 65nm chips in them... So MS had to have done something right...

What terrible examples. BioShock doesn't have online multiplayer, Crackdown is 3rd person perspective.
ryuclan
Reggie is a very eccentric guy, but even he can't miss the impact that halo has on xbox owners. Even if you dont like it, you may buy it just so you wont be the only one playing Rainbow Six still. I mean how many people on you friend's list on XBL arent playing H3? Like seriously count them. I got 2.
Vanillainy
They are to bound to bitch about each consoles and boastabout their own, what do you expect? But I agree about Halo 3.
Seddo
He's got a point. They (MS) just blew their load. What are they going to do post-halo3? That's a bit of an idiotic comment, look how many consoles Microsoft have sold even before the Halo3 release day, the console will sell just fine even after all the Halo hype. Yup, same thing is happening at the Best Buy where I work. Gotta wait a week to get my 360 xO. We have the Elites and Halo editions. Oh boy do we have those in stock. TheDude5000
You know what? Seriously? f*ck Nintendo. I'm sick of their arrogant bullsh*t. I used to be a hardcore Nintendo fan, but not anymore. Not only that, but they're completely off base. Crackdown is first person? PGR and Forza and Dead Rising are first person shooters? Mass Effect and Banjo Kazooie Three, and Fable 2, those are first person shooters? They all have online multi-player? Who the hell do they think they are bashing games for having good online multiplayer? Oh right I know, could it have something to do with the fact that the Wii has a sh*tty online service that can't even compare to PS2 online games from 4 years ago? Halo 3 has outscored and outsold any Wii game this year, so I think some of the Nintendo employees should enjoy a nice tall glass of shut the f*ck up. It's pathetic damage control, nothing more. Gouveia
OK, all I want to say is, WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE TO GET IN WAR? Man, I'm sick of all this bullsh*t. Sony wants to make the Playstation 3 better than the Xbox 360, but they just don't know how. Microsoft wants to make a lot of games for the 360, but quantity isn't quality, and, a lot of games for the Xbox 360 are baaad. I know, it's a huge library, but why would I need 100 horrible games if I can get an awesome one. And Nintendo? They at least got right with the Wii's motion-sensitive controls, but they think only children play games, come on, WE NEED GOOD GAMES FOR THE WII, and by good, I mean like ports of classics, like GTA and all those stuff. Nothing's perfect, and it won't ever be, because the closer we get to the perfectness, we'll find a flaw or we will want more. Also, why the war? Can't we be friends anymore? I can't stand hearing friends of mine saying "I won't talk to you, you have a wii instead of a 360/PS3". I'm just sick of that. Can't we say the best of each console? Also, I would like to note one thing. The companies are going for the technology, not for the fun. Period
SIP YEK NOD
Also, I would like to note one thing. The companies are going for the technology, not for the fun. Period companies are going for the money, to get the money, they need the gamer, to get the gamer they need the fun. and its quite obvious this was just flamebait from the head of a corporation, so
