Timbuk2
Hi everyone OK, I've had GTA San Andreas for the PC for quite a while, and got great use out of it, completed the games 3 times but still I love playing it! Also, I've had a steering wheel for the PC upstairs in my house for a while, never really used before. I've heard that they're are a lot of issues associated with using the steering wheel and pedals with SA - it either doesn't work or doesn't work fully I've tried google searching about it, and got a lot of pages of people saying it doesn't work. However, they were written in years like 2005 etc. I'm just wondering before I take it down and set it up, is there anyway of getting it working with the PC version of SA nowadays? Thanks for the help in advance! Oh and another thing, the brand of the steering wheel isn't a popular brand such as Microsoft or Logitech... it's a Medion, which makes me more worried, as there might be fixes for popular brands only Tim

Timbuk2
No I'd prefer if the pedals worked as well, but this just may not be possible So when you are driving you hold down W and steer?
GTA Phreak
I've used a steering wheel with great success. It finally gave up (after playing through GP2, III, VC and SA several times). But as Bad~Boy#17 said the pedals won't map to throttle/brakes (I used buttons on the wheel for that), but do work for lean on bike etc. (whatever up/down arrow does in the particular vehicle). But try out SAAC, - you can probably map pedals to throttle (analogue too) with that.
james_root
it works with my madcatz wheel.
Saavik256
Steering wheel definitely works, though the effectiveness can't really be compared to, let's say, NFS Underground.. And, as said before, pedals don't work.

007 RoadRunner
SAAC used to work for me but now i use Vista it doesn't anymore. When you start it it disapears and uses 50% CPU and i can't do anything with it. Does anyone know how to solve this?
