No, you don't. If you want to, you can call a specific mission, but it's perfectly alright to just call a turn, the way radicell did.

 

 

By the way, can anyone please tell me as to why my game has difficulties loading and crashes?
I tried to give some advice in my edited last posting above. wink.gif

Naw, you just need to call a turn.
Call the mission that you want to do or just call a turn by posting in the topic.

Did you use the V2 files? Are you using any mods? I've found that doing a computer restart before doing a turn helps keep my game from crashing.

Started stashing vehicles for exports: Cheetah and Stallion in Colton Heights, Buffalo and ZR350 in Paradiso, Sabre in Doherty, Feltzer in Hashbury. Removed the Stretch in Colton Heights since it is readily available behind Wang Cars.

 

Managed to do all that with three-star cops on my tail. smile.gif

First of all, Welcome to the Chain Game! I hope you enjoy playing along with us.

 

The Buffalo and ZR-350 were stashed in the garage for the export list. The limo i.e. Stretch spawns behind Wang Autos and hence, there was no need to store it.

Notes: Brought the BP Cabbie back in 4* territory, - proceded to complete 10 fares in a row.

Stored the BP Cabbie in the Fort Carson garage (now in "Borg Nine" livery).

 

So if anyone is up for some 4* taxi there's still 8 fares remaining wink.gif

If you start in Ft. Carson you'll probably get a fare for LV with a healthy time limit.

There's an extra Pay'n Spray unlocked on this save, - it's sort of "open air" just stop in front of the "Loading bay" (it is marked on the map).

You can also use the Transfender (currently unmarked, behind Come-A-Lot) and select your own color.

I'm online again, but it'll take a while before I can get my main computer connected again. I wasn't about to let Comcast play around on my good machine, so I'm currently running on a temp OS I installed so I wouldn't need to worry about unbranding and removing whatever they decided needed to be installed. Anyway, I'll get caught up on what everyone's been up to since I've been gone and get back to you.

 

BTW, I managed 40 consecutive taxi fares in restricted SF before I got sloppy, ran short on time, and blew up the BP/FP cabbie because I didn't think I had time to paint it.

 

Did I mess up and forget to lock Fort Carson's garage?

I've already nicked the all-proof Sandking on an earlier turn.

I believe the Verdant Meadows garage is unlocked too.

 

4* Taxi seemed significantly easier in LV compared to SF, - if it wasn't for one fare going down the strip past 3 roadblocks, I probably could have done it without bulletproofing (if it weren't BP i would have picked a different route).

 

Regarding crashes: I haven't had any crashes at all on the special save, - even while playing for extended time out of turn.

Notes: dammit - took me 4 or 5 tries to get used to 4star taxi driving, then I finally made it, went to the mod shop to get a nice color, went back to Ft. Carson, half way there I noticed there was no nitro anymore (although the usual message 'all taxis have nitro' did appear). So u-turn, back to the mod shop, nitro equipped, back to Ft. Carson, got there, had the taxi in the garage, and only *then* did I die a very stupid death angry.giflol.gifsuicidal.gif ...couldn't be bothered to do it again, so it's just 'Lure' and nothing else...

As soon as I saved, the game hanged, not to mention that I had to complete the trucking mission with laggy gameplay (this always happens before the game hangs up). Luckily, I saved just in time.

**ATTENTION**

The next mission is 'Yay Ka-Boom-Boom' which is a territory opening mission and must be done by a v1 player with v2 scripts to avoid the Barrier glitch.

The Barrier Glitch occurs when a pure v2 player does a territory opening mission like Green Sabre or Yay Ka-Boom-Boom. This glitch is due to the modded savegame. Due to this glitch, the barriers are removed for a v2 player, however, for a v1 player, the barriers still remain in place and the v1 player is unable to attempt any further missions.

However, if the same mission is done by a v1 player, the barriers are removed for both the v1 and v2 players and the game can progress normally.

 

This is all that has been learnt from past chain game experiences and the development team is working on resolving this issue.

Dated Katie (but overjumped the restaurant by quite a margin).

Cleared the few remaining SF jumps, - including the new Jump 6.

Took a few tests to figure out what I was supposed to do, - but figured it out eventually. I'm guessing there's a roof hopping sequence intended, but I got hindered by visuals not aligning properly with realities.

Nice of you to quickspawn the chute, - but the NRG was a bit hard to get to respawn.

Btw. that means you can put the rooftop NRG and Stuntplane on the map wink.gif

So that leaves 1 more new unique jump in SF - jump5, and of the new jumps, only jump4 and jump6 have been completed; is that correct?

 

The roof hopping sequence isn't really mapped out very well. The new jumps were added fairly late, so for the most part they are experiments in how to make the starting and landing zones work properly, and trying to set up cool camera angles. I'm starting to think about reworking the jumps for the next round, so any feedback would be appreciated. I'm not sure if I should put much effort into this area as the new jumps haven't been generating much interest, but we should at least whittle the list down to 70 so SAMA doesn't get confused.

 

I'm not sure what you mean about visuals aligning with realities in the area of the jump, but I did notice that the collision modeling didn't always match the structures that were displayed. Level of Detail was occasionally a problem during tests, but I figured this was because I kept teleporting directly to the location.

 

The NRG should have the force spawn flag set, I'll check to be sure. Most of the problem I had with getting it to respawn was reduced if I made sure to travel a short distance away from the spawn point. This engine seems to have a lot of problems calculating Z distance, so I usually take a short trip north and allow at least 40 seconds between respawns.

 

And thanks for calling out the vehicles you've found. I kind of figured the map would be a little more filled out by now - for the most part, I didn't try to hide them. Are they too obvious? Are you unhappy with the parking spot for your vehicle, or was that intended as more of a hint to it's location?

 

BTW, now that the clues are back online - did you ever figure out the mystery tag you mentioned in a previous post?

Well, I would call a turn, but my San Andreas seems to down and out (for a while, at least) so I'll have to miss out for a couple of days to 'give the game a rest. By the way, just to let you know, I won't be able to participate on Mondays to Thursday, since we have exams in a few weeks and we, well, need to study.

Which part did you not find solid? I have no problems regarding the solidity of the ground so far. Do you have any mods installed?
