OysterBarron Posted September 28, 2007 Share Posted September 28, 2007 (edited) Official PlayStation Magazine nuff said there gunna diss the 360. same goes for a 360 magazine saying that the ps3 was the fault plus this is fairly old news now he said that both consoles have there limitations. and when they say the 360 version is 80% complete and dont even mention the percentage of the PS3 (well they said its about 2 weeks behind) but without even a seen working demo on ps3 yet im gunna say that ps3 is to blame at the moment. FACT that Games developers are having a hard time at the moment developing for PS3 just like the PS3 version of Half Life 2 orange box the developers said that its about a month behind because of the extra coding involved. Hence this is probably why GTAIV is not completed and released yet because rockstar have had to do extra coding for the ps3. Nothing I'm about to post is disputable, so it'll save you fanboys the "cut that sh*t out man, console <name> roxx ur soxx!" - The 360 has been out for a year, so developers have had more time to familiarise themselves with the systems architecture than the Playstation 3. - This article is OLD. Rockstar confirmed a while ago that the 360 is "creating limitations" for the development. It could mean a lot of things, nothing has been specifically stated. - On paper, the PS3 is more powerful than the 360. Right now, its full potential hasn't been harnessed yet. Its hard to say how much potential of the 360 has been reached, though. - Currently, yes, it appears games that appear on both consoles turn out better on the 360. Thats the facts over. And bear in mind I'm a loving PS3 owner. My opinion. Don't read it if all you're going to do is whine and bitch. I've even put spoiler tags on it, so you can't "accidentally" read it. The PS3 will slaughter the 360 in about two years time. If you've never programmed or coded anything you'd have no clue how this logic works, but developer networks within companies (EA, Take2) are likely to exist and exchange coding techniques. As time goes on, techniques improve in quantity and quality and with the complexity of the PS3, it has the potential to be a real competitor for about 10 years. Yeh I agree, also look at Sony's track record. They build systems to last for years and years. It was even said that the PS2's full power hasnt even been seen yet. When developers get the hang of writing for PS3, you'll see the difference, and when xbox whateverthenextoneis comes out, the PS3 will still have games coming out for it. The PS3 is hard to code and the 360 can't store a peanut. But if you paid any attention to your surrounding (the forums) you would notice the thread about Microsoft opening up the hard drive, which means future games might be 'hard drive only' so they don't have to compensate for the Core users. As of now the 360 is the best buy for gaming, it's got shooters, sand boxes, and developers don't have to struggle with it. In about 2 years new developers will be getting in the game and they will have been taught to code the PS3 and the PS3 will reign supreme, 360 won't stand a chance. And by detail I think he means in terms of content and texture/models because it's hard to fit a game of this capacity on a single DVD9 without HDD.
