TFatseas
Well I certainly think so! Its basically a movie about everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. The basic plot structure is when a rouge American airbase commander goes crazy and launches his bases B-52's loaded with H-Bombs into the U.S.S.R because he blames Soviet water for his impotence, and the craziness ensues when both the Soviets and the Americans try to get the bombers back to prevent world destruction. Its one of the best black comedy films ever made in my opinion, and deserves a watch. The title sequence.(greatest ever) BEST SCENE EVER!
lurchseesu420
Me and my dad love this movie. One of Kubricks best. My third favorite after A Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket. Kubrick made alot of good movies.

darthYENIK
It's good. Slim Pickens is awesome. But I wouldn't say it's the greatest.
Canofceleri
I don't think there can be a greatest, there are so many amazing films out there from different countries and era and they're all so varied and make you feel so different. That being said, Dr. Strangelove is an excellent movie and one of my favorites from Kubrick. Though several of his movies are very flawed I still haven't watched one I didn't like. And they're all so different yet share common themes. I haven't seen Paths of Glory, Lolita, Spartacus, or Barry Lyndon yet... I recently saw The Killing which is a sort of film noir from 1956 about a racetrack holdup-- very interesting. Dr. Strangelove is probably in my top three favorites of his, in competition with A Clockwork Orange and The Shining.
