Bartleby Posted September 30, 2007 Share Posted September 30, 2007 I think each installment of the 3D GTAs brought something unique to the table, but to me there is no comparison; GTA3 is the classic that I will always favor over the other two. The map might not be ginormous, might not have motorcycles, and might have a relatively short storyline, but that game that was so groundbreaking in 2001 is still f*cking great fun in 2007. That alone proves how much impact it made on the gaming world, and it's 6 years old. Though VC is my favourite, GTA III will be forever known as the grandad of 3D GTAs. See the article at 10 Greatest Video Games Of All Time at WPXI. I found it as a link off of CNN.com, so it's apparently has a bit of news worthiness to it. When the first Grand Theft Auto premiered in 1998, it brought gaming into a whole new realm when it created the open-world format, which was a whole city that was created for players to wander through and get in adventures. “Grand Theft Auto introduced sandbox gaming to the world, and video games have not been the same since,” said McNamara. “They put a world out there, and you can go deal with the world any way you want. It’s a sandbox. They make the sandbox, you go play in it.” Not to turn this into a discussion of their pics, but I think the list is missing Myst... I couldn't decide between vice city and GTAIII, but i really liked everyone in GTAIII, the missions, cars, rampages, police chases and evading cops in an infernus. I just doesn't catch me for some reason, and I dont like the missions so much. GTA III is the best GTA game IMO, just thinking about it brings up so many memories. It took a little bit for it to catch me. The graphics seemed too shiny compared to gta3. Even though Vice city was the first Gta I played, but it was at my great aunts house about 4 years ago. Gta 3 is a classic. I only beat the story missions once, and I still play it. Even if it is just pony farming and going off jumps. If you share the same thoughts of gta III being a classic, get even more involved in it, in the chain story!!!!!!! Yeah! woo! Gta III chain story!!!!!!!!!!! The way you can hear an echoe when you spray bullets. yeah from what I remember gta III misions are alot harder than lcs missions. Lcs is still pretty tricky though. Expresso to go, that mission in gta III was so hard, i had to go out and buy a strategy guide just for that mission!
