Vanilla Shake Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 You need SA:MP (San Andreas Multiplayer). It's free, and easy to install, but first you have to downgrade SA to Version 1. Californian Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 yea, what u need is once u downgrade your SA (with a downgrade patch) go to SA-MP.com and there will be a link saying 'Downloads' in the far Left of the screen, then it will say 'if u just wanna play the game, get this'....(download the first one) once downloaded, look for it on your desktop or documents and pick a server and BAM, u'll be playing in no time! hope that helps, if not, f*ck off! no just kidding, tell me! If not, go to your San Andreas files (normaly C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas and double click samp. P.S. the reason i want to help u is because i remember when i wanted to play SA-MP and posted topics on how to play but they kept locking it and telling me to go to the sa-mp forums...i HATED that and felt so frustrated, so im here to help u out! I can't give you the link but search GTA San Andreas downgrader patch on google. Just unzip it in your san an data file and run the patch. HERE is a downgrade patch if u have not yet got one NOTE: i did NOT use this downgrader patch (i forgot which one i used), so its at ur own risk to run this file!!!!! miczee Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 well here is what i figured because, I was a tad trying to get sa multiplayer to work and a fine job it is, well done whoever put this together, the server has to run on the machine that is the fastest or has the most hdd space and clients are the applet program looks very similar to chat client and that then has to search online for the game servers, yes then or better still you type in gta sa maplist to mr google and there is a page i believe 1st or 2nd link is a scrollable page with many gta sa servers ip addresses etc and then u save these addreses when you have them in your client much the same first drop down menu says import or export and these files go to your(my documents folder unless u can direct wherever, the same as bookmarks for the browser, yes if you wish to join up and play also install the server for win32 and if you wish try other ppl playing on your machine, but needs i would have thought at least 6mbps internet bandwidth, the guys will know the details, for a decent server ask what is needed or search for minimum maximum requirements for sa multiplayer- i have 1 2.4ghz 64bit 1024ram which i use as game server and 2 32bit 2.93ghz with 1024ram also and run clients as well as the server runs client on to play with 3 ppl, and runs well offline..
