It's provisionally penciled in for an early January start, pretty much straight after the first Season has run. This means (becuase the way UK Scheduling is done) that they can show the entire run without breaks, unlike in America where there can be a week missed here and there and then a mid season break to cope with. Although Season 3 (should it go ahead which already looks likely) might start earlier and Auntie Beeb might be willing to forego the the usual sheduling premise to show it a week later, much like Lost on Sky, but a series of new documentaries (DVD Extras basically) will fill in the missing weeks and with the extra 45 minutes leading upto Newsnight, might be getting filled with another American import(s), at this stage Bionic Woman (which has debuted well on NBC) and the move of Medium over to BBC2 might round this up. So once it came out in America, it came out everywhere on torrents. Anyways, I am a HUGE Heroes fan and I must say I was a little disappointed by the first episode. Several things that annoyed me: 1. Why have they introduced ANOTHER flying character. Nathan has that power, don't ruin it by adding some peeping tom peter pan character. Somehow I'm half worried that he will end up being another illegitimate child of Nathan's and he will get with her and they will have retarded mutant children. 2. I did not like how Hiro's father died. The guy simply ran at him and pushed him over the edge. What a sh*tty way to die. He could have at least tried to duck and hit the side instead of just flying over the edge 3. I've already got the entire Hiro in the past storyline figured out. It was just too simple in my mindset. Hiro will become the hero that he grew up loving. He will save the people of the past and will fall in love with the blacksmith's daughter and will place himself in history. Well, that is my theory. 4. Why has Nathan gone into hiding? He was a huge political figure and he just saved all of New York. Sure he was depressed and sh*t, but if he went into hiding, you know that just 3 months later they would still be looking all over the place for him and trying to figure out what happened since he just dropped off the end of the earth. In all the other heroes points of view, he died with Peter. I just don't find it realistic in a storyline sense that he would just disappear and no one would ask any questions. 5. Why the hell did Parkman (the cop) divorce his wife? At the end of season 1, for the most part, he was still good with her. They were going to have a baby together too. And suddenly in season 2, he is now permanently living in New York with the girl he saved and he is divorced from his pregnant wife. What a great guy. 6. During the "terrorist" training scenario, why was Parkman congratulated about shooting the terrorist lady? If he were a real cop, he should have told both people to get down on the ground with their hands on their head. Then kept a weapon trained on them as another cop arrested them and searched them. Not just randomly shoot one of them as they are pleading to be saved (fake or not). Overall, I liked the storyline, but I felt some of the show needed work. I am still going to follow the entire show closely through the new season, but I was just upset that in my mind, they almost half-assed the premiere episode. I hate repeated powers. 2. Again, I'd have to agree here. If they have powers, why didn't they use them, instead of lolfall. 3. Hadn't thought of that. I more figured he'd guide him to do the things that he read about, not do them himself. We'll see I guess. 4. Yeah he's a douchesack. He was my favorite character in season 1. Now he's stereotypical OMG SOMETHING TRAUMATIC HAPPENED TO ME NOW I'M AN ALCOHOLIC :'''''( 5. Probably the same reason they killed off Simone . There was just nothing to do with the character. 6. As for some of the rest, like the flying kid and Parkman leaving his wife I'm sure we'll be offered a passable explanation. Maybe the kid flies by using some other power, like telekineses or weather manipulation. One thing that really pissed me off was the subtitles for the mexicans. Hiro's subtitles are always dynamic and exciting, and fun to read within the picture, like a comic book. This sh*t looked like bad DVD subtitles. What was the thinking there? That was my thoughts exactly. It looked like the default subtitles on a DVD player from 1999. I was thinking that maybe they did it to show the more gritty and dark story, as opposed to Hiro's adventure. The new characters suck and their accents are terrible. Why the f*ck can't they just hire Irish actors to play Irish parts? These morons have American accents and just add "boyo" to the end of their lines to make up for it. Maybe all the commercials are just making me hate it.
