brendan62 Posted September 26, 2007 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Some may know that im pretty much retired from GTAsa modding but there are some projects id very much like to complete but have had some difficulty locating good textures for them. Also these days i have very poor net connection so texture hunts are just out of the question. So this topic is in hope that a few people will help with locating some textures... Ok 1st 57 Dodge Lancer this is a car never released from Slayer the maker of many great low poly cars for c2, ive done and released 4 of his cars so far with Slayers permission and help, other than these 2 Theres also a 80 Dodge Mirada which is being done for him as its his personal drive car ill show some pics of that one soon. Lancer needs the front grill badge texture which i have been unable to locate (see pic) This one is also from Slayer 1963 Pontiac Bonneville this one needs all badge textures and instrument panel gauges etc These next ones are from Palat, http://www.palat.com.br/cars.html who makes some of the nicest classic car models on the net , although ive released one of his and have permission for lots more,most of these ive been working on awhile here and there due to the huge amount of polythinning needed on them This one a 1941 Chevrolet started of at about 400k its down to about 60k but i still have to add the underbody and engine so it will be up around the 80k mark. This one i need the instrument textures (speedo gauges etc) also the badge on the glovebox inside This one is a 55 Oldsmobile, i also need the instrument and badge textures Last but not least is a 1955 Chevy Van this one is at about 70 percent and is one of Palats later meshes and is much lower in the polycount so all it needs is engine underbody and a few other things. this one i also need The Instrument textures because ive had great trouble finding any good ones Yes these wips will be completed quickly if i can get some good textures Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pgtipsp Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 fine then dont believe me, but when i sopke to him on sunday the words he used were 'im done with the internet and modding' - he was pissed off after our site jym finally died after a long struggle, he had been slogging on with a terrible net connection for months and hes now more interested in oblivion modding so dont expect to ever see these completed or released - if you want to think im some prick who doesnt know him and is just saying sh*t for the sake of it, fine thats you're problem - but im not, so i just thought id say theres no point keeping your hopes up - no one is more disappointed than me about these cars seein as a i spent a long time looking for textures for em since he first started on em months ago. but like i said if you dont want to believe me fine, but he aint coming back,and even if he does finsh them i doubt he'll upload them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

***TGR*** Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Oh stop being a drama queen JYM is simply expanding to other things, rather than being a followup to gtawip the site has very little to do with GTA modding apart from the few mods that the members release. Brendan has simply found a new interest in modding such as Oblivion and he wants to focus on that. So tho he is retiring from doing gta mods, these mod above will be finished and released on JYM. Myself and Brendan are having alot of issues offline (work etc) and have'nt had time to plan out the next stage, but thats been sorted out and the site will be backup and running within 20minz and then the changes will begin over the following days. @ Gforce i got a nice pink theme waiting for ya Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
