sim_soul
Hello there, I am another GTA SA addict and I have been playing this game for a quiet sometime. I enjoy trying different mods all the time and I have always had to go back and undo the changes or edit the gta3.img file in order to fix the game when errors occur. However, yesterday I modified some new files within the gta3.img which have to do with the water in the game and the bus signs, After that I tried running the game, but it keeps crashing on the loading screen (after half of the loading bar is filled). I tried undoing all the changes and got back the backup files, I 've tried all the possible solutions, but the problem still persists. Is there a way that I can find out what causes the game to crash, Does the game folder contains an error log file for example? or if there is a tool out there that can describe the error and what files are missing / or need an attention in this case. I hope I can find an answer, and if no such tool/programme is available, it would be very helpful if a skilled programmer spends sometime on such a programme. Have a great Day everyone Edited September 25, 2007 by sim_soul
Justin
Modding questions belong in the modding forums; the GTA Series forums are for unmodded copies of the game. Keep in mind that re-installing the game will remove any mods you might have installed. I'd suggest this as your first approach. Moved from SA Troubleshooting to Editing Troubleshooting.
