Are these games any good for your average RTS lover like myself, I've never been into the Warhammer 40k thing only ever heard of it and as far as the video games go didn't realize there were RTS games based around it. As I am always on the lookout for RTS games that I haven't played I was surprised to learn of the Dawn of War game and its expansions. I've read some things about it and generally it seems to be rated well however are they really good games for a RTS lover like myself?

yep, if you've played company of heroes~ then you can jump straight in and enjoy the game

 

multiplayer is a blast tho~ but the campaign missions are pretty epic (not warcraft epic, but epic nonetheless)

Even if you don't care for warhammer, you'll f*cking LOVE Dawn of War. I have no interest in Warhammer and DoW is one of the most fun RTS games out there. Especially multiplayer.

Company of Heroes I've never played, infact I see it for sale everywhere and for some reason I assumed it was some FPS I guess the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" comes to mind. I am quite embarrassed that these games which are a few years old have passed me by.

I have this series of games, and I can say, they are amazing, the only drawback, that I can see, which isn't an issue with the Command and Conquer series, is the unit cap.
