I Sacky,

 

Maybe I've found a little bug about the limit adjuster :

 

I've made a lot of tests and i've noted that when I enable the "#Vehicle Models=212" deleting the "#" (without increasing this value) , all the paintjob in the garage are white and black.

 

If I disable again the "vehicle model" whit the "#", in the garage all skins are ok.

 

Is it possible to solve this little problem?

is the defined numbers of colours who you define in the carcols.dat.

you can increase the number of vehicles ID defined in the file vehicle.ide

 

Default = 212 (from LANDSTAL vehicle ID = 400 to UTILTR vehicle ID = 612)

 

; The Max number of Colours defined in carcols.dat

 

you can increase the number of colors ID defined in the file carcols.dat

NOTE 2: If I delete all new vehicle info from vehicle.dat, handling, ecc... , i can start a new game without problems.

 

Can you help me please? Is it possible to start a new game after adding a new vehicles?

What does the "streaming vehicles" parameter precisely do?

 

Not entirely sure, I believe its the number of vehicles that can stream in high quality, or perhaps the number of vehicles that can be spawned via AI. It was right next to streaming memory so I decided to hack it to.

 

@Erwest: I have no idea where that error comes from, although perhaps its a PLAYER.IMG mishap. Also as far as the colours go I'm not so sure how they occur like that.

I have This limits on an sometime it crashes.

 

Seems to have something to do with the handling, try turning the Streaming Vehicles Limit off.

does somebody noticed the come and go audio bug (or go and never come back till new savegame load)? if so anyone got a solution?

About those audio problems, I always get that, even without the SALA; all sound FX vanishes and only radio stations play. As far as I know, that error occurs when there's a storm in the game. It seems the game loads the thunders and other sound effects of the rain and makes all FX effects (weapons, cars, etc) stop playing. Then, when the rain stops, all audio usually comes back, but sometimes it may not and to solve it you'll have to load your save game. But, if to you this happens even when it's not raining then I don't know confused.gif

 

And to all the people that still get errors with just Streaming values on, here are my values:

 

 

; Streaming Memory (in MB's)Streaming Memory=100#Streaming Vehicles=22

 

 

With my streaming limits like that my game plays perfectly with no texture problems (my gta3.img file is 1,36 GB large) and it has never crashed so far.

yeah i know that "storm" bug.. but now comes with sunshine too..

btw i found another prob. i set streaming mem to 200 and added 12 cars. all is ok except for helis and planes physic that is now totally messed up. for example the heli's rotor stays and the h's body turn arond it without landing and planes vetically takeoff and swing left and right at high frequency.. any idea??

I've installed SRT3, and now gta3.img is about 1.45GB (I also have some new cars installed)

And when I have the streaming memory set to 40MB (default), in many places textures dissapearing...

When I set SM to 400MB, then textures also disappear! (my computer has 1GB of RAM)

 

 

My question is: WHY? ( I have 1.0 US version)

can you adjust the handling id limit wth sacky's salimit adjuster. I have tried using alexander's handling id adder and it is very buggy. I don't know if he is going to fix it.

hello guys, i got a problem when i load the game

Delete this line from saex.dat:

 

 

IPL       DATA\MAPS\EXTRA\extra.iplex

 

 

then the save games should load.

Ugh this is the LAST time I explain the save game bug, if you save a game while the iplex runs then it will never load again. So after deleting iplex, save a new a game then load it, and see what happens.

i have one question what you can tell about scm block limit?? (because when i active this limit i cant load the game and starting new too but when i deactive its all ok)

The SCM Block Limit is a concept I came up with that is not functioning at the moment, and is still not functioning in Alpha 8, however I am pleased to present a very big update to SA Limit Adjuster that will be available to the public in Alpha 8, mapping bounds hacking:
