Puma06111991
First you need to add the sandbox as a toolbar. Click in the menu on Window > Preferences. After that you go to “Extensions” and select the Sandbox tool. Now the sandbox tool menu is added! Here are the names of the different tools of the Sandbox-tool I’m going to use in this tutorial: Ok, now to the part where I’m going to explain the tool. There are two ways to use it. The first one is to create a plane by using the “From Scratch” tool: NOTE: Don’t make the plane to big, the overload of faces could cause a crash! The plane became a component. Doubleclick it to edit it. After that you click on the “Smoove” tool, point somewhere on an edge, push and hold your leftmousebutton and drag it up- or downwards: NOTE: If you think the range of the Smoove tool is too small, just scale your plane (make it smaller)! Now you can start drawing hills and valleys! My result: The second way is to just draw a normal plane and draw vertical lines on it and select it all. By this way you can make a low-poly terrain. Now just click on the “From contours” tool! My result: ‘hope You guys learned something of it . If you got any problems, questions, comments or what else just post it here or PM me. Grtz Puma.
