I've killed heaps of Red Jacks and Yakuza yet they are still chummy with me. Whereas I didn't kill many Yardies or Diablos but they seem a compulsive need to shoot the crap out of me whenever I venture into Newport or Hepburn Heights. I know the Cartel are set to always hate you and the Mafia hate you when you kill Salvatore but the other gangs seem to hate you randomly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

saintdave Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 Sadly GTA 2 was the last game that used such hate structure in that the amount of gang members you killed the more it would affect which gangs did and didn’t like you for your actions. GTA 3's gangs will only hate you after completing certain missions, moving to other areas of the game or different choices/actions - • LFM - Completing the mission Sayanara Salvatore. • Cartel - Not entirely confirmed but your first specific attack on the gang during the mission Bomb Da Base is sure to initiate the war on you/Claude. That said as the gang isn’t predominantly based in Portland any dealings or sightings of them on Staunton (unlocked after completing Last Requests). • Yardies - Once you have completed King Courtney's mission strands, last one being Kingdom Come. • Triads - Not sure on which mission specifically but during the course of Toni Cipriani's mission strand they will come to hate and attack you on sight. • SSH - Split into 2 groups, the Purple Nines will hate you after starting D-Ice's mission strand. The Red Jacks should leave you be. • Diablos - Won't hate you. If you jack a Diablo Stallion or attack a gang member though, like others they will chase/attack you for redemption but this isn’t permanent only accounts for actions at this time. saintdave Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 I stand corrected mate I honestly was unsure about the Diablos. Mainly because of the work you do for El Burro, but as is the case with many missions and the storyline in GTA 3 you often will work for a character and later betray them or attack the ones they are affiliated with. I used the Porter Tunnel glitch while still on "Give Me Liberty" and went to Staunton and Shoreside. Sure enough, the Cartel attacked me on sight.
