joeymadman
Okay, so I'm going to Gamestop tommorow. I am wanting to get san andreas but not sure if it will work. Even if it lags a bit, that doesn't matter much to me. So, I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions before I go. 1. Is it possible to play GTA:SA with these system requirements? Minimum System Requirements: 1GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon Processor 256MB of RAM 8x DVD-ROM Drive 3.6 GB of free Hard Disk space for a minimal install 64MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce3" or better) DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card Keyboard & Mouse My system specs: AMD sempron processor 2800+ 1.61GHz, 448 MB of RAM Physical Address Extention. Personally, my greatest guess is the game will run, possibly some lag but will run. 2. Is a DVD drive required to play? On a website I saw two different versions, PC version and DVD version. Thank you.
Girish
Yes. You can run the game on your PC without any problem. You will require a DVD-ROM since SA comes on a single DVD.
joeymadman
Ahh okay then =). But I thought there'd be a difference between the PC and DVD versions, cause on the website I looked on for the requirements it said find lowest prices on the side, and below it it said DVD and then PC. Here's the link to the site
Girish
Look carefully at the requirements. The minimum requirement is 8x DVD-ROM. The recommended requirement is 16x DVD-ROM.
