CCPD
I save and download a lot of files and images from Internet. Unfortunately sometimes it’s time consuming and really annoying if you want, for example, save/download 20-30 images/files. Not so long ago I used Download Accelerator which allowed me to enter the address of the webpage and it shows all the types of files available there. All I had to do is to click what I wanted to download. I was wandering if there are any similar online services available. I don’t want to use Download Accelerator because I had a lot of problems with it. I try to keep the number of installations to the minimum in order to keep my PC run smoothly, so I don’t want use software. If anyone knows any online alternatives to what I want I will be very grateful for help!
Hollaz
How exactly do you meen? should it be similar to DL accelerator or just possible to download multiplie files at the time?
CCPD
Just possible to download/save multiple files/images at once, without clicking on each of them individually. I don’t mind how as long as it makes the whole process easier.
Saggy
Just possible to download/save multiple files/images at once, without clicking on each of them individually. I dont mind how as long as it makes the whole process easier. DownThemAll is a great FireFox extension for that. It tends to sort between thumbnails and actual images/files well, but there might be a time where you will need to make your own pattern based on the URLs of the site; it's not too hard, though. Doesn't work too well for downloading thousands of files at the same time, but I've had no problem downloading around 600-700 pictures off a site in about five minutes. I'm pretty sure that I remember them having a standalone client that's not dependent on an extension, too, but it's pretty terrific. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201 I understand there's another one called FlashGet, but I don't use it. Otter
The quick and dirty route: just go File>Save As... and then choose "web page complete."

DownThemAll! is a great tool. I use it all the time for rapid-downloading of images off websites It's easy to use, too. I tried FlashGet, but it didn't click with me, DTA! has a much easier to use interface. SWEETSAPRIK
I know there are a few Firefox addons that can work like that in conjunction with a download manager. Personally I use FDM with the flashgot extension. Flashgot can add a line or two (depending on what options you set it for) to the right-click menu, which will automatically open FDM and send the links/pics to it. I think it works with a few different download managers. "Flashgot all" would grab every picture and link on a page, then send them to FDM, which lets you filter out what you don't need. Like anything that isn't a picture, or only certain file extensions. "Flashgot tabs" would do the same thing, but with every link and pic on every tab. I use that option quite often when I open multiple wallpapers and don't feel like changing tabs and saving fifty times. Other than saving whole pages and filtering later like Otter said, I don't know any way to do it without adding any programs or extensions. PяopagaиdaIиc. swolo yaggins
Man, you guys make downloading porn a whole lot easier. Is there a link to DownThemAll? But, say I want to save the picture behind the thumbnail without having to open up 40 tabs of pictures. Does DownThemAll do that? edit - Sweets, is flashgot what I'm looking for? That way I can filter out everything except the links to the REAL pictures? Edited September 23, 2007 by Desmosedici 5192:12.3.02LM/SSHmkl
SWEETSAPRIK
It only works with a download manager, but it works with quite a few. # for Windows (BitComet, Download Accelerator Plus, FlashGet, Free Download Manager, Fresh Download, GetRight, GigaGet, HiDownload, iGetter, InstantGet, Internet Download Accelerator, Internet Download Manager, LeechGet, Mass Downloader, Net Transport, NetXfer (Net Transport 2), NetAnts, Orbit, ReGet, Star Downloader, Thunder (Chinese only popular product), TrueDownloader and Ukrainian Download Master [Russian language only] ), WellGet, wxDFast # for Linux / FreeBSD / other Unix-like OSes (Aria, cURL, Downloader 4 X, GNOME Gwget and KDE KGet, wxDFast ) # for Mac OS X (iGetter, Speed Download and wxDFast*) The short answer is yes, assuming you can tell which are the thumbs and which aren't. For example, if I used it on a page with only one thumb, and that thumb linked to the full size pic what would get sent to the download manager would be: http://example.com/thumb.jpghttp://example.com/fullsize.jpg So if the site added "_th" to all the thumbs you could filter out any links with "_th" in them. If they just use random numbers then you might have a hard time distinguishing the full size pics from the thumbs. PяopagaиdaIиc.

CCPD
I knew you say that, but on some websites Firefox 2 was voted the worst upgrade. It included everything that Opera already had for some time. Also IE7 considered being the most secure web browser out of three.
Otter
You should also be able to File>Save As...webpage complete in explorer.
Saggy
Also IE7 considered being the most secure web browser out of three. According to Microsoft? @Otter The problem with doing that, is that if you save a complete web-page with thumbnails on it, you get the thumbnail images instead of the image files they link to. Otter
This is true - I usually use it on galleries that load all the images in one page, like a po... puppy album.

CCPD
'DownThemAll' only saves what’s located on the current page and none of the thumbnails, which can be easily done in IE7 with 'Save As'. I tried the combination of FDM and Flashgot, but same problem as above. Only saves images, and only the ones that are located on the parent web page. None of the thumbnails are saved. Basically I need a very good thumbnail downloader. When webpage shows me small previews of all images they have, and all full-size images are hosted somewhere else. Instead of clicking each image individually in order to be redirected to the full-size images, what software I should use for IE7, and what add-ons and software should I use for Firefox 2? You should give DownThemAll another shot, sounds like you weren't using it correctly to me. If you need to download thumbnails, switch the top tab from "Links" to "Pictures and Embeded" Take this page for example If you right click the frame with the thumbnails, and open DownThemAll, you should see no pictures available to download under the "Links" tab because they're all links to .html files. However, say you wanted to download the thumbnails (or any picture that is on the main page ), you switch your tab to "Pictures and Embeded". Let me know if that helps, I'm not sure if you're trying to get the images on the main page or not, but if you are, try changing the tab at the top as I've said. SWEETSAPRIK
Same with my suggestion. Select the box in flashgot's options that says "Include images found in current page." If the thumb on the page links directly to a larger picture it will download the thumb and the larger picture. If it's a link to a second page you'll get the thumb and the second page. PяopagaиdaIиc.
