criminal rating glitch

for some reason i don't get criminal rating points for killing people on foot. I have about 10,000 legitimate kills. I've been stuck at hoo-rider for a long time now. Any reason why I don't get points?

Have you cleared your wanted level and saved the game after killing those 10,000 peds? If it's anything like Vice City, you'll need to do so before the criminal rating points are added.

I think you will get points from killing enemy gang members or criminals..these will build up your stats..ordinary peds maybe not..and shoot police helis for guick gains.

$5000 earned = 1 Point

$5000 spent = -1 Point

Killing a civilian = 1 Point

Completing a mission = 5 Points

Blowing up a vehicle = 5 Points

Blowing up a helicopter or plane = 30 Points

Getting Busted/Wasted = -3 Points

Using a cheat = -10 Points

The armor and $250000 cheat gets you +40 points though.

If you look closely at the list girishb posted you will see that's accounted for.

 

$250000 == $5000 * 50

 

So you get +50 points for the money and then lose 10 for cheating, giving a net +40.

 

Also note that if you already had max cash, the health/armor/money cheat would not add any money and therefore be a -10.
