Saints Row1/Just Cause (X360)

I am getting an Xbox 360 for christmas and i have been wanting two games for ages but i never had the console to play them. The games i have wanted are Saints Row or Just Cause and so i was hoping if you guys could help me choose which one i should buy.

Any help appreciated Cold Fusion 33.

Combat can be annoying in JC, but it is just so fun to escape a car chase by driving off a cliff

Saints Row. Never played Just Cause, but Saints Row is a great game to help pass the time until GTA IV.

I disliked the PC version of Just Cause. The controls were a bit silly as I remember, and the gameplay was quite boring, with large expanses of land that you had to cover to reach the next mission. With a humongous map like Just Cause's this took a lot of time. Taking over territory was boring as well. The cities and villages were square shaped and didn't have much character. The landscape is indeed beautiful and the water and sand really make it look idyllic, but that's the only thing that was really noteworthy in the game.

 

I haven't played Saint's Row, but if you are looking for something that is similar to GTA, that's what you should get.

well im getting it on 360 and so far just cause is my ideal bet, can anyone manage to swing me in the direction of saints row?

First get your 360, then download the demos of both games and decide for yourself.

Aslong as its on 360 then Just Cause. Great fun and a huge map to explore, many things to do.

yeah i think it will be just cause, eidos made chili con carnage and total overdose which i both liked so i think ill like just cause.

Forget both of them and get Dead Rising.

 

 

But if one or the other... Saints Row. I own it. Its ok. Played the JC demo. didnt really like it much. Eidos cant make good vehcile handling for sh*t:

Just Cause: Theres best attempt so far, but still feels a bit stiff.

 

 

Plus if your are getting Live GOLD then get Saints Row as it has Multiplayer and Just Cause doesn't.

 

And the MP in Saints Row is good and fun. My fave mode is Blinged Out Rde.

Get saints row. Just cause is boring, the only real good thing about it is the water and the fact you get a gun so you can attach yourself to cars while there on the move.

Oh i thought meant the whole game and yes bailing out of a car and making it drive into a pile of grincos was a good laugh.

I own Just Cause on PS2, and Saints Row for.. well, 360 of course. I've rented JC for the 360 as well. If you want a nice map to explore, with fun missions, and some extra things to do, not to mention online deathmatches, go for Saints Row. JC has a big detailed map, but 99/100 of that is trees and grass, plus it has no replay availability. And by that, I mean there is nothing to do after beating the storyline. Unless you like to stare at trees..

Nope, it's all just trees. There is a city though, but you cant go into any buildings or do anything. Saints Row>Just Cause

You might want to consider Crackdown, too. Big, beautiful city, loads of intense action, power upgrades, pony farming (obviously), loads of cool vehicles... I found Saints Row a soulless affair with a lack of character (the city is far too clean), and as has been mentioned the cities in Just Cause are bland, and the driving is crap.

I have just finished playing Saints Row and it was pretty good. I have played Just Cause and its sh*t compared to Saints Row. I suggest you buy Saints Row first.

Just Cause is simply awesome for the stunts you can do, wait for IV to come in (apparently) March, and live off Just Cause till then. However I saw Saints Row for $15 second hand in EB the other day, and Just Cause for $25, so why not get both? They're both cheap.

 

I think Just Cause will get you more for your money.
