The entire city of Montreal has been sh*tting bricks the past 3 games. I'm expecting at the very least some rioting.

I have renewed respect for the Predators. I was always a fan but I had low expectations for them this season. Now I can proudly wear my Nashville jersey around people who wouldn't know what team (or sport) I'm supporting.

 

I'll be rooting for Pittsburgh now.

Anyways, people are getting crazy around here. The Penguins went from sh*t to gold in less then a year and, sure we got Crosby, no one really expected it. The team has fallen together so well. I may have to steal my dads tickets. I know the home game tickets sold out in 10 minutes, but my dad got them through his company. If I can wrangle them off of him, it will be a good night for some hockey. I just want the next game to come so I can hear Mike Langs iconic voice saying "...he shoots, he scores..."

The Ducks lost. I'm sad, but I'm still happy that they at least made the playoffs, with the way they were playing six months ago. I'm also glad that they didn't get swept, and actually won a couple. But alas, Dallas played their best and Anaheim did not.

 

Hopefully, next season Selanne and Perry will re-sign, and no one will take any extended summer breaks.

The Penguins fans who JUST became Penguin's fans this year are the smuggest people in the world.

 

On the other hand, my Flyers are falling apart. Biron is showing he's a backup when the pressure is on and apparently no lead is safe with our slow ass defense (minus Coburn and Timonen).

 

I bet the NHL is happy as a pig in sh*t that there may be a Crosby/Ovechkin round as that will make Bettman the most money.

Now I have to watch this whole damn playoffs from the sidelines. I thought the Bruins played pretty good last night too, but they really didn't get any good bounces. Now I have to cheer the Celtics through their march to the NBA finals.

 

And for the NHL, I'll be rooting for Calgary in the west and Washington in the east.

I know. I always wondered what happened to Lightning and Hurricane fans after they had won the cup...

You're tellin me. Pens fandom about ended when Lemieux and Jager were the great pair, fans were damn near as abundant as the the Steelers following. Last year, you would be hard pressed to find anyone in a penguins jersey but now everyone and their dog has a jersey.

 

I hate fare weather fans. I dont mind people rooting for the penguins if their team gets knocked out of the playoffs or anything like that, but if a fan goes from diehard Ducks, Lightning, Flyers, Hurricanes, ect. to loving the Pens because we have one good damn season. On top of that bullsh*t, we have all this new arena and possible built in casino bullsh*t issues for a future replacement for the Mellon Arena. Pens may be good, but the fans and playing area suck.

The Ducks are my team. Washington was my Eastern team. Now I don't give a f*ck who wins.

I have to give it up to the Flames. They were tough sons of bitches this whole series. I should know about Nolan and Kiprusoff-we used to have them. Still, we stepped up when we needed to, and now it's on to the Avs.
