I have been following the god of all hockey players Ovechkin, I hope they make it to the next round. Kids a star. I am a Lightning fan at heart, but I gotta root for someone. Truth is we gave up Brad Richards and now he is on the Stars working his ass off. I hate when players leave teams and they dont hustle while they're on the team but as soon as they get traded they are amazing again

Honestly, I'm not paying attention to the playoffs until the semi-finals, except for the Senators/Penguins series. Eitherway here are my picks (in bold):

 

MTL vs BOS

WSH vs PHI

PIT vs OTT

DET vs NSH

DAL vs ANA

MIN vs COL

SJ vs CGY - (I don't mind either team)

NYR vs NJ

We're a week into the post-season, but ok.....

You're not the only one saying that, pretty much every hockey analyst is, too. And I agree, I think it's rather safe to say that either the Ducks or Sharks, both Pacific teams, are going to win.

Red Wings slacked big tonight, but with Ozz in the pipes a shot didnt get by.

But that's only at this point in the playoffs. This round of the playoffs is crucial, at least for the western conference, where all the predicted cup winners are currently getting a workout against their competition.

Well when you look at the NHL the West is definitely more dominate than the East. Even the lower seeds in the West like the Flames are way better than the lower seeds in the East like the Bruins. I personally want to see the Sharks knocked off in the first round, I wouldn't mind seeing the Stars beat the Ducks and if Nashville could upset Detriot I think that could set for an interesting second round and more attention to the East.

Corey Perry is "likely" to come back into the Ducks lineup tonight.

 

This makes me wonder if Zubov will have to hobble out onto the ice anytime soon.

Wow, I never expected the Bruins to win two games in this series. And a 5-1 win last night? That really gives me some hope that we could pull off a big comeback. That would be amazing...

 

And I really hope the Rangers end it tonight, while I also hope Anaheim keeps their series going.
