i just started playing nhl08 online and what the sh*t, are the penguins the e-z button? i've played like 8 games and 5 have been against the penguins.

 

although, a good team with a sh*tty person can't beat pure unadulterated skill and talent (me!?). i've noticed people are very predictable with what they're going to do.

I know what you mean.

 

Every sports game online is like that. Try playing Madden online, you'll play New England 9 out of 10 times.

 

Still doesn't mean jack if you aren't good at the game, if you're a good player, you can win with the worst team in the league.

Hopefully they keep this magic working because I am in no mood to see them lose today.

Well Pittsburgh crushed Phili tonight, pretty much solidifying their spot in the Cup along with the Red Wings. Both teams are on fire so I really think that it should be an interesting final, assuming that neither team slumps out and loses 4 straight...

All I have to say about it is that I would hate to see the Wings take it...

I finally get to see a Pittsburgh Penguins team go to the finals, crush teams, make it to the cup only to lose. I get a chance to finally watch my team, at an age where I have the ability to remember, go to the Stanley Cup Championship Game...they better f*ckin' win.

I dought it. Osgood has been playing pretty goo for the wings. I can't see why they would replace him with Hasek just because they lost one game. From my expereinces playing goalie, I know this for a fact. A goalie can only stop so many shots,The defence need to help him too.

 

I think Detriot will probably pull a win out of the hat tonight. THey are on home ice so.....

Boy, the Penguins sure made a statement. I think the Red Wings vs. Pens would be a picture perfect Stanley Cup Final. A team who is an icon in the Western Conference year in and year out against Sid the Kid and crew.

What is the opinion on the Coyotes (I tend to like them) - I know that Gretsky is their coach and just the notion that there is an ice hockey team in Phoenix is incredibly hilarious to me.

 

So yeah are they just seen as a new(er) team which gets a pat on the head when they win a game or two, but nobody is really surprised if they don't accomplish anything?

Pretty much. They're not very good, they feed the bottom with the Kings and Blue Jackets.

The Coyotes are going to be a good team if they keep it together. They've got some good young talent, and they have Bryzgalov, who is getting better and better every year.

 

But yeah, they are no where near as loved in Phoenix as they were in Winnipeg.

The Coyotes have great prospect depth as well as some young superstars in the making (Particularly Mueller and Turris).

In other words. The Red Wings are better than the Penguins. I still hope Pittsburgh doesn't just give up, like some teams do when matched up against a better team.

I was convinced the Red Wings would sweep, and I definitely was confident after the streak of seven unanswered goals. But Sidney Crosby proved he can lead his team on home ice, so now I think that the Pens won't go quietly. I still think we'll finish them off in 6 though.
