Ticktock
What songs help you get to sleep/ Do you like to listen to when you sleep? Some of my favorite songs I listen to at night are: "White Rabbit" - Jefferson Airplane "Officer" - Slightly Stoopid "Dumb" - Nirvana "We Just Disagree" - Dave Mason "Dance the Night Away" - Van Halen "Feel Me Flow" - Naughty by Nature "Cats In the Cradle" - Cat Stevens "The One" - Limp Bizkit Just to name a few. reaper x550
I'm known to fall asleep to heavy music, Marliyn Manson, Slipknot, DevilDriver, Hatebreed, Dry Kill Lodgic, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Mudvayne, Drowning Pool (older stuff), Wednesday 13 (himself, murderdolls, FDQFP13). Yeah, I will fall asleep to just about anything...
Trows
Those bands put me to sleep too. I like to listen to Bohren & Der Club of Gore or The Kilimanjaro Dark Jazz Ensemble when sleeping. No dough this post will get questions and and maybe even some fighting.

Yeah, I will fall asleep to just about anything... Most of those bands put me to sleep, too... I don't sleep listening to music, it's a waste, I'd rather just keep the TV on, it provides for much better subconscious content to slip into your dreams. Edit: Beaten by Trows... Oblivionz
I can't sleep without music. Usually it's something soft-ish, without the heavy guitar, etc. Silverstein - Bodies And Words Anything by Modest Mouse Before Their Eyes - Nighttime Is Our Time Alesana - Congratulations, I Hate You. And anything around that.
Mister Pink
"Cats In the Cradle" - Cat Stevens I don't think Cat Stevens ever sung that track. It's written by a guy called Harry Chapin but I don't think Stevens ever covered it. Tracks that I'd fall asleep to would be: • Le Voyage de Penelope - AIR • New Star In The Sky - AIR • Fingerbib - Aphex Twin Stuff like that. When I was 12 I'd listen to Nirvana and Pearl Jam and that crap but not now. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)

PCJ.
Boards of Canda, particularly their Beautiful Place in the Country EP, Boris's more ambient stuff, Battles' Eps and a selection of Post Rock are all good. More or less all instrumental stuff, lyrics don't do it when I'm trying to sleep. Stuff with hypnotic beats are always good.

Edmachine
Once, I listened to Hall of Mirrors, and when he (can't remember the name) started talking... it seemed like he was behind me. And it also reminded me of playing LEGO, because I used to listen to this song when playing with them . outcest
R.E.M. works nicely. So does Atom Heart Mother...If is such a nice, simple, dreamy song. Plus, if you put the album on repeat and time it right, you can wake up to the sounds of Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast.

Ticktock
I could listen to more heavy stuff when I sleep if its got a slower beat to it. I can't sleep if its all high paced. Makes me wanna jump around. Some soothing 70's music is best for me though.
