Inky
Portal was piss, I only ever got stuck on that part where you have to get into the vent, I didnt know it was possible to blow a hole in the tube to get a block out of. So its not my fault I had decentish fun on TF2, but it really lacks alot. And with Half Life, 1 zombie is more than enough to put me off the game even that I know its coming. I have no enjoyment with that crap. And even if they were normal enemies, it wouldnt be fun anyway. All you are going to do is shoot defensless people. There is better skill and fun involved with combine c*nts. I really dont know what people see in games like that. I f*cking hate them. I play to escape, and quite frankly I dont intend to go somewhere even sh*tter than real life, itself. So f*ck that sh*t. I should sell it next month. Alright, we get it. Just return the game already

lord fido
I think I'll be able to pre-order it, because 50 dollars is 100 bucks in Brazil, so... lol! 50 bucks in the US are 25 in chile!
Forty
I've been wanting to get this for awhile, but I've spent so much money on games lately that I really need to reign in my spending. I still need to pre-order Assassin's Creed and GTA4 as well (though I have longer to wait on GTA, lol)
Bauer
I never actually played Half Life 2 before. I played part of the first level a long time ago at a friend's place, but I've never gotten a chance to sit down with it for a couple of hours. Long story short, this game is amazing. It's so intelligent and has a really awesome story that has me hooked. There are so many cool (and brilliant) aspects of the game, the only one I don't like is the gunplay. It's just... average. Even some ironsights would have made it a bit better. I like how every gun has a clear purpose within the game, though. Portal is officially one of my favorite games of all time. It was short, but the whole time I was in a state of bliss. I also had a couple friends that clearly have a better comprehension of how portals work, which got me through the game a lot faster than I would have solo. Then, the credits rolled, and my mind seubsequently imploded. What a wonderful ending. I rented Orange Box, but it's definitely an eventual buy. GTA3Freak-2001
Not sure if I should get Orange Box on 360 or just get Portal and Episode 2 on PC through steam? I don't want Team Fortress 2 and I've already got HL2 and Episode 1 through steam and Portal and Ep2 equal 50 bucks the same as the full Orange Box. The only reason I am thinking of Orange Box on 360 are the achievements I could earn as well as a reason to go through HL2, EP1 and EP2 all in order but I am not fond of FPS's on 360. Oh the decisions!

GTA3Freak-2001
The games f*ckin $100 here in Australia...RIPoff Yeah that's RRP but I've seen the 360 version for $79 which is still alot considering you can for the PC version go to steam and pay just over 50 bucks, thank you strong aussie dollar! Daz
When I did it there were no chairs around. They may have been blown up. Anyway I dont know what to do now. 1: Just rape through ravenholm with guns. Get achivement later. 2: Do it once and get the zombie chopper achivement, so I wont have to play that crap level ever again.
Dalpura
Try for it now Daz. I thought I'll do it later, but now I really don't want to. I f*cking hate those c*nt zombies that run and scream at you, and the spider crab things. The games f*ckin $100 here in Australia...RIPoff It's $79 at JB. And hardly a rip off, look at all you get, it's a lot especially when you compare the price and content to other games out there.

I think he may be talking about the fact that on steam you can get the same thing for about half the price given our strong aussie dollar. Anyway I picked up the 360 version, just so I can play through HL2, EP1 and EP2 in order to refresh the memory although I am dreading Ravenholm, that's one freaky level! Dalpura
Ah, fairy muff. Still, best money I've spent on a game in a long while. Four out of five are brand new to me as well. And Ravenholm is not as bad second time through man. I only ever played through HL2 once when it first came out and I remember sh*tting bricks. It's no where near as bad second time around, nearly four years later. Would be one of my favourite chapters now, love those saw blades. Anyway, I'm up to Chapter 4 in Ep2 now, it's turning out to be pretty awesome. Not a huge fan of the antlions though. I'm not looking forward to finishing it though, that'll mean I have to move onto Portal and the few levels I played hurt my brain.
jelly
ZOMG DALP I usually can't stand tunnely stuff and caves, they usually get very bland because it looks the same all the time, but I really liked the antlion caves. The hunters are great as well. I'll have to play through it again because I didn't think of catching the flechettes with the gravity gun before I saw it was an achievement to do so. Voodoo
I liked Ravenholm allot the first time I played HL2. I thought mowing down zombies with the saw blades, incinerating them with the gas lines, crushing them with traps and blasting them with the shotty was great fun. Playing through again when I got OB was still a good time. The fast zombies make for some good creepy action as they rattle the downpipes while climbing up to get you. Avoiding the poison zombies as they fling poison headcrabs at you is another great part of the level. Ravenholm is a great action-survival-horror gaming experience IMO. Kippers
Brought Orange Box from HMV about 2 hours ago, but havn't started playing it yet. I hate playing the start of HL2, I must have restarted the PC version about 6 times over the years since it came out. I always stop playing when i get to Ravenholm. Hopefully having HL2: Ep1 on the same disk will motivate me to finish the game. Edited November 2, 2007 by kippers. 習うより慣れろ

Seddo
ATTENTION ATTENTION. TF2 is tha sh*t. That is all. That was a nice informative post. I haven't been on TF2 yet as every time i searched a game it couldn't find one and then it suggested for me to host one which is a bit whack. Atleast portal was great and i have yet to play any of the Half life games either.

I'll have to play through it again because I didn't think of catching the flechettes with the gravity gun before I saw it was an achievement to do so. jllllr. Pick up a box or something, and when they shoot the flechettes into it throw it back and you get it easy, plus they go down easier that way. I've got to replay a bit of Ep2 though, need to mow down more zombies in the car. It gave me achievement progress 5/20 when I was right at the end! Ravenholm is a great action-survival-horror gaming experience IMO. Yeah reminds me a lot of Resident Evil and that sort of thing. Love a bit of zombie survival horror. I was hoping for something similar again in one of the Eps though. And I just can't get into TF2. I keep getting put in games on 2Fort and I've got no idea where to go and I can't seem to aim at all well. I think I'll stick to Halo 3 for my MP needs for now. Skyline_Mad
What is this gnome people speak of? "Send The Garden Gnome Into Space" is an achievment that involves you taking a gnome (Found in the first man-made indoor area) with you through the game, to almost the end of the game. I havnt completed it yet but heres a couple screens of my progress: I also took other screens at various places in the early chapters, but these were the last 2 i took, i couldn't be bothered with the screens anymore. I am in the middle of taking it to the Rocket, but havnt played in a while, i think i'm at the bit where the Combine Surprise you. Also, heres someone elses journey with lots of pictures, kinda like a diary: http://www.kfj.f2s.com/index.php/2007-10-15-gnome-quest Edited November 3, 2007 by Skyline_Mad
RoAcHcliP
Anyone got any cool TF2 screenies? This heavy gunned me down mercilessly, but I was delighted to see him get splattered straight afterwards.
