I am very tempted to buy a 360 right now. I played halo 1 & 2 and it sounds like that this one will be worth the hype.

Are you kidding? You can't judge a game that quickly...

 

It's like when San Andreas first came out...I was loving it and thought it was better than Vice City, but months later I knew I was wrong. Vice City was better.

 

Yeah that's right...I have never cared for Halo. I own one Xbox 360 and really could not care less about the "here's a campaign and here's multiplayer with vehicles again, except this time we added a few things and it looks prettier."

 

Now I know that sounds completely like prejudice, and yeah it is. That's right. I think it's crap.

 

I don't know why the game is such a big hit. So many people act like Half-Life doesn't exist. I can't wait until The Orange Box comes out and people take notice.

 

I shot this a few years ago, interviewing Halo fanatics to see how much they actually know about a few aspects of video games:

i COMPLETELY underestimated the halo demand. red deer is only having 2 midnight launches, and there was probably close to 1k people combined in a city of 90k. the line-ups had to be 1km long.

 

even if they had all 4 tills pumping, and could get a person through each every minute(highly unlikely), it would still take 2 hours to get everybody through.

 

its just mindblowing to see that large of a group of people in a little city like this. needless to say, i did 3 donuts in the parking lot ouside of gullivers and got the hell out of there. i will grab my copy tomorrow when the committed have the game, and the non comitted are at work/school.

Oh man, I was screwing around in The Forge when I stumbled across the Elephant. Dear god I can only imagine how epic that thing looks with a full crew smashing through the battlefield.

I sign on xbl tonight at around 1:30am to get some late night Gears in and to my excitement see 10 friends on playing. I am more than disappointed when I pull up my friends list to find them ALL playing Halo 3.

Wow... just wow... I played through the whole thing on Heroic, but the second level was pretty funny. Instead of fighting my way over the loaded bridge I sneak underneath, and a massive Brute Chieftain with a Gravity Hammer drops in front of me. I'm like o.o *hurls 2 plasma nades, 2 frags, unloads both Needlers* theres all these explosions and half the scenery falls apart and buries him. Then he swings and smashes everything out of his way, slamming me through the room and wedged between two pipes.

Heh. Last night at work, I was sitting in the computer dept. around 9PM and Ty comes back, and I asked him if we got Halo 3 in yet, and he says he does. I asked if they were all pre-ordered, but apparently London Drugs doesn't take pre-orders so now I have a copy waiting for me today

 

Unfortunately I close tonight and open tomorrow, so I won't be able to play until Wednesday.

Rocky that's probably not even the real ending, that rumor has been going around for months. That legendary edition cost 80 odd quid here, f*ck that i could get two games for that price. To be honest if you buy the legendary edition then you just have a mask sitting on your desk for years doing nothing.

 

Although the mask does look pretty cool, what's it made out of plastic?.

I'm in the Technology dorm so this place went off last night. I went to Walmart at 7:30 to get into line (I was #8). They ended up selling all 130 of their regular copies and all 50 of the collector's edition. Everyone stayed up and beat the campaign last night (I think the first group finished around 5:30 AM). Now everyone is starting to crash and some of the stragglers are still playing online. Obviously, no one went to class.

Wow... Grunts on Legendary are kind of tough. There's plasma grenades flying all over the place. I suck at Halo 3 multiplayer though , I need to practice a bit more.
