Can't wait. if it rattles, open it in the store to make sure its not scratched to sh*t. and since people are going to be [legitimately] getting the game within the next few hours, if you REALLY don't like spoilers, i would suggest staying out. even things some wouldn't considered spoilers can set people off. It's like when San Andreas first came out...I was loving it and thought it was better than Vice City, but months later I knew I was wrong. Vice City was better. Yeah that's right...I have never cared for Halo. I own one Xbox 360 and really could not care less about the "here's a campaign and here's multiplayer with vehicles again, except this time we added a few things and it looks prettier." Now I know that sounds completely like prejudice, and yeah it is. That's right. I think it's crap. I don't know why the game is such a big hit. So many people act like Half-Life doesn't exist. I can't wait until The Orange Box comes out and people take notice. I shot this a few years ago, interviewing Halo fanatics to see how much they actually know about a few aspects of video games: Yeah, I don't like Halo. SIP YEK NOD Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 i COMPLETELY underestimated the halo demand. red deer is only having 2 midnight launches, and there was probably close to 1k people combined in a city of 90k. the line-ups had to be 1km long. even if they had all 4 tills pumping, and could get a person through each every minute(highly unlikely), it would still take 2 hours to get everybody through. its just mindblowing to see that large of a group of people in a little city like this. needless to say, i did 3 donuts in the parking lot ouside of gullivers and got the hell out of there. i will grab my copy tomorrow when the committed have the game, and the non comitted are at work/school. Instead of fighting my way over the loaded bridge I sneak underneath, and a massive Brute Chieftain with a Gravity Hammer drops in front of me. I'm like o.o *hurls 2 plasma nades, 2 frags, unloads both Needlers* theres all these explosions and half the scenery falls apart and buries him. Last night at work, I was sitting in the computer dept. around 9PM and Ty comes back, and I asked him if we got Halo 3 in yet, and he says he does. I asked if they were all pre-ordered, but apparently London Drugs doesn't take pre-orders so now I have a copy waiting for me today Unfortunately I close tonight and open tomorrow, so I won't be able to play until Wednesday. A few of my mates are going down to a store with the pre-order pass at 12 tonight and i'm just tagging along for a laugh, if there's a spare copy there i'll pick it up, if there isn't it won't be a big deal to me. just another thug Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 I'm in the Technology dorm so this place went off last night. I went to Walmart at 7:30 to get into line (I was #8). They ended up selling all 130 of their regular copies and all 50 of the collector's edition. Everyone stayed up and beat the campaign last night (I think the first group finished around 5:30 AM).
