You could always start a new game and use Demarest's Mission Passers, mirrored here to create a save emulating exactly your original.

Demarest's mission passers doesn't support all missions. So, in any case, you have to do a lot of effort to get to where you were in your previous save.

whoa thanx girishb those save games actually worked for me every other one i've tried to download from other websites don't work for sum reason or another. BTW. the reason i didn't use mission passers is because i don't want to cheat or use "hacks" i want to have a normal game. then i'll mod it with my second GTA: SA

I realise that, but it's a better method to more exactly recreate an existing save point.

Using Mission Passers isn't really "hacking" any more than downloading a saved game - you "uninstall" the Mission Passer script as soon as you're done. Each to his own, however.

 

Also note that with San Andreas you need a saved game specific to your version. Meaning version two saves work only with version two, etc. This is most likely where you were going wrong.
