So I have a ton of MS points left over from my Rock Band and Mass Effect DLC, and I was thinking about downloading Fable, since I never played it, and I'm definitely picking up Fable 2.

 

I have 1600 points, and the game only costs 1200. Is it a really good game? Or rather, is it worth all the MS points?

It would be better if you just went out and bought the game for $9 or however much it is. Those games waste too much HD space, and some of the stuff gets f*cked over when they transfer it to a downloadable form. Usually the sound is messed up. Also you can't do anything while playing xbox originals, can't listen to music, can't even log in to xbox live.

It's like that with a disc too, all Xbox Guide features are blocked. Maybe that will change with the Fall update. You can still be on Xbox Live, you just can't connect once you are in the game.

 

-Kajun-: Have you got Geometry Wars? I'd recommend purchasing that with your 400 left over points, it's a very addictive game.

 

Unless you want to use those points on something else of course.

unless the one availible for download includes the Lost Chapters, then you'd be better off buying it for dirt cheap at some store.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith all depends on whether you like Aerosmith or not, if you don't like them you're not going to want to play their songs.

 

I'd say Bad Company, but only if you have access to Live, if not I wouldn't recommend getting either, but instead saving up for the better games coming around November.

Aerosmith is only, if you really like Aerosmith. If you only like a few of there songs, don't waste your time with it. If your like me and own all of there albums, and know all there songs, it is worth it.

 

BF is a really good game. I have played 360 and PS3, and it is awesome on both. Multiplayer is what truly makes it worth while, the campaign mode is equally fun.

Have you ever played an Xbox original game on the 360? They have the capacity to play like absolute sh*t. I had to put the output resolution to 480p just so I could play GTA3 and KOTOR without humongous amounts of lag. When I played using 1080i, it looked better, but I got 10fps with KOTOR and GTA3 would lag and all audio would stutter. KOTOR still lags a lot, even when I am using 480p. At first I thought it was my first console that I had, which was a pile of crap (cracked discs, lockups, loud), but it eventually RRoD on me. But, of course, my replacement 360 doesn't play Xbox Originals well, either. I checked up on the xbox forums and realized that bad framerate and audio/video issues are pretty standard when running many Xbox Originals on the 360.

 

The emulation bullsh*t doesn't work well at all, but since you got scammed into paying more for your DLC than you should have, you now have pseudo-money that is just wasting away in your XBLM account. So, you might as well spend it right? Microsoft is so good at being an evil, douche bag of a company.

Live is not a problem, I should get an annual. I don't know, I think I'll go straight with Bad Company, since I need new FPSs.

I played the demo for Bad Company, it was surprisingly good. Everythings "chunky" if you know what I mean, everythings got a weight to it, even your character (might take some getting used to, hes quite slow) but the vehicles feel too light.

 

Do you like Metallica at all? Just wait for GH: Metallica round Christmas time, its what im doing

I hate that button. Especially when you try to pause but hit that button instead and the game keeps going. This is particularly bad in Fight Night Rd. 3.

Popped Gears of War into my 360 for the first time in...maybe a year but definitely 6+ months. I'm hooked on the multiplayer again. The second map pack is great and patches have definitely helped balance things out a bit more.

I just have a quick question.

 

As you all know, the new Fall update will allow us to store our games onto our HDD's. As I have a Pro SKU, and don't want to pay $300+ AUS for a 120GB HDD, was looking into buying a 120GB 2.5" HDD seperate and swapping it into the casing and using that instead. I was just wondering if this could possibly result in me getting my console banned from XBL?
