Bugger, it looks really nice too. I never knew that the 500 points you got with GTA IV expired, so I'm back to around 700 points, kinda pointless when the DLC doesn't come out until roughly the end of the year.

 

I've also decided to go ahead and give my old controller that I never use a paintjob and LED switch. Black and red, Gears theme.

Ah sh*t. My cousin came over so I decided we'd play some Gears. Fire it up and only Casual and Hardcore were available and only Act 1. C.O.G tags gone too.

 

It was fine when playing kingvercetti a few weeks ago, the only thing I've done since then is clear my cache, perhaps you need to have the latest patch to make your savegames compatible or something?

About the copying games feature. I wounder if it would have to be the exact same DVD.

 

I mean, it would be cool if you could copy Lost Oddessy Disks 1-4 onto the hd and only ever need to insert disk 1, would get rid of the need for disk swapping.

Some stores offered 500 Points and Gamerpics if you pre-ordered GTA IV. Some gave them away anyway, I didn't pre-order.

Well I seem to be having a problem and maybe you guys can help me out.

 

I'm replaying KOTOR 1 on my 360. I progressed about 10 hours into the game but now I'm at a certain point where the game is freezing on me and I can't continue (it's on the Tatooine planet where I'm experiencing it.). Anyone know if theres some downloadable fix to this? The game runs fine on my old Xbox but I don't want to go through 10 hours of playtime again

I hope KOTOR 3 could possibly hit the 360, I believe it'd be a a amazing game if they put there brains into it like they did with the first.

 

I have my ethernet cable hooked up to my laptop, my laptop has wireless internet, do I need the ethernet cable to my wireless router or because I can't share any music/pictures with my 360. My laptop detects the 360, but my 360 doesn't detect the computer. wtf?!

Have you tried enabling media sharing? I don't know how to do it on any OS but Vista; on Vista you go to Start > Network > Network and Sharing Center and just change all of the Sharing and Discovery options to On.

 

I've never actually played KOTOR, I do own it on PC though so I'll probably get round to playing it soon.

Mine is exactly the same way. I 've been trying to fix it for ages but now I just put my music on a USB flash and do it that way.

I remember the tricks to avoiding bugs in KOTOR was to save in a different file every time. Its even one of the hints they give you during load times. Go back a few saves and try again. This is how some people got around game-ending bugs.

I simply don't have anywhere to hook up my 360 to an internet connection at my mum's house. At my dad's however I have everything I need in my room. I only have Live from 5PM-8PM on Wednesdays because that's when I go there, besides the weekends of course.

 

It costs too much, so I got Assassin's Creed instead.

So there's been my first Xbox360 sitting around the house for about six months so far and it's RROD'd. I decide today to finally give the towel trick a shot, and guess what! It worked!

 

I played for over an hour on GTA IV with only one freeze at the beginning, and then my brother played TDU for about another half an hour or so with no freezing at all.

 

I know this isn't a permanent fix but how long would anyone suppose I have with this? A week or so?

From what I've heard yep. After that the time you have per towel trick consistently reduces, until it's doing it almost everytime you turn it on.

Xbox Guide Support - Upon seeing the new interface of the Dashboard, you might be crying that you'll no longer have the blades that you've come to know and love. Don't worry, they're not going away. You'll now be able to access these at any time with the use of your guide button. What does this mean? You'll be able to access everything while you're in game. Playing some Gears of War 2 but decide you want to play an XBLA game for a bit? You'll be able to launch it directly instead of going all the way back to the Dashboard.

 

Couldn't you do that before? If not, wow....that's something the PS3 update 2.40 just added to the PS3.

Nope, if you wanted to play an arcade game while your in the middle of a regular game (or any game) you had to go all the way back to the dashboard. It isn't that bad but changing that is a good idea.

 

ALso thank god for the new marketplace look. I hate reading the descriptions in those things because it never shows enough, you read the top like three lines then wait like 10 seconds for it to start scrolling at a snail's pace.

The new marketplace looks nice. The picture above, only shows when you select the item right? Does anyone have a picture where you can browse through the content by category?

My friend and I switched Xbox's for a week (his is hacked, tho'), and I'm having the chance to play COD4, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3(again), Gears of War and Bioshock! (Altough I don't think I'll play the last two).

 

I've beaten COD4 in about 6 hours (on Recruit), and I must say, IT f*ckING OWNS. I loved the story, every goddamn moment of it. Captain Price and Gaz owns. My favorite levels are, definetelly, "Al Ghillied Up", "One Shot, One Kill", "Shock and Awe" and "Mile High Club".

 

I started playing through Assassin's Creed and I'm loving it. The game is all about the free running and escaping from the guards, with is a escape from GTAIV's chases. I love to assassinate the templars/targets/guards when it's crowded. Feels... good

 

@dragonballz9: Go to "Test Connection" and tell us where does it fail.

Come on, why all that hate just because I love that level? I love it because of the place it is - an airbone airplane. And yes, it's imposible in Veteran. Many enemies in an enclosed space, not cool.

So I have a ton of MS points left over from my Rock Band and Mass Effect DLC, and I was thinking about downloading Fable, since I never played it, and I'm definitely picking up Fable 2.

 

I have 1600 points, and the game only costs 1200. Is it a really good game? Or rather, is it worth all the MS points?

Fable is definitely worth the small 1200 MS points, it's one of my favorite games of all time.
