Okay, so the output is 203w but it's manufactured on 2007/09/04 and the lot number is 0735. So, I'm assuming I still have a sh*tty ol' one eh?

When i bought my 360 in June/July last year i found out my 360 was manufactured in 2006! It was sitting there for months!! Till i gave it a good home

I'm almost certain mine isn't a falcon, seeing how mine is most likely from the 2nd batch (the one sent out in response to the failing 1st batch)

Pretty sure mine is a launch model, the manufacturer date is 2-3-2006.

I did the flashlight test and found I had three vertical inductors. Really pissed me off when I found that out, lol. Now I'm thinking of moving everything around in my room, again, so that the Xbox lays horizontal in front of the cold air vent and has nothing around it.

Lol man, you would not believe my frustration as well. I bought mine around that time because it was on sale, and the manufacturing date was after the Falcon's release. It said it was 203w on the box, but the guy at the stored "assured" me it was the newer makes. My f*cking balls, I bet they were just selling off the sh*t ones they had left to make room for the Falcons arrival.

I just got my 360 a few hours ago, I'd been playing Dead Rising the whole time, when my brother desides to move the console WHILE I'M PLAYING IT. and it made a big ass f*cking scratch right around the disc, and now if I try to go into leisure park, it exits the game.

 

What a great start to my time with Xbox.

 

Now I gotta go find a CD Cleaner thingy, one did come with the console at the store i got it from, but I traded that to a friend for his Dead Rising

What you do in this situation, is whenever you try to enter leisure park, take one hand off of the controller (since you won't be playing the game because it's f*cked), and put it into your brother's face with enough force to at the very least make him cry.

 

Doesn't fix your disk, but it'll make you feel better.

Damn, I should have tried that before I sent him off to go buy a disc cleaner.

 

Oh snap, It magically started working again, despite that huge scratch that circles the whole disc.

I got the new Halo maps today (X-Box came back yesterday from Texas), they are pretty fun, haven't gotten the Call of Duty ones yet.

Damn Xbox keeps on signing into messenger whenever I start up. I've tried to find out what to do to change it, but failed. Help please! It's nothing too big, just people decide to talk to me, and it just gets a little annoying having to always sign out.

Well for some reason my wireless mic will no longer charge anymore. It charged fine until last night when the battery died. The thing is only a week old, which pisses me off.

I just got a new Xbox 360 Pro system a week ago and noticed that it has a new headset/microphone than the original. I don't know how long it has been like this, but the switch to flip your mic on/off is midway up the cord rather than being directly attached to the controller. I really don't like this as much due to the fact that it is less convenient to reach up and turn it on or off while I am in the middle of a game...

It's not a huge deal, but just a minor nuisance...

Yea the Falcon is a new chip that they put in the Xbox 360 to help prevent overheating and the RRoD. It runs at 175 Watts instead of 205. A lot of people have said that it significantly decreases the chance of getting the RRoD. You can find out if your Xbox has a Falcon chip by looking on the bottom of the power supply for your 360. Just look next to the word Output at the top of the little white patch and it should tell you the wattage

No it doesn't. You have to go to your computer that the router connects to and allow the 360 to use it. I used to use the wireless adapter and I had to bypass the firewall to get it to work. After you figure that out though, it should automatically connect every time.

Press the guide button, click on your gamercard. Select Auto Sign In Options.

 

There will be 2 different sections, Xbox Live and Windows Live Messenger. Set Xbox Live to On and WIndows Live Messenger to Off.

I'm assuming you'll need to tweak the privacy settings for your Live account.

You can go into your account onto Xbox.com and change it through your privacy settings there. And I think you can also do it through your Xbox as well by going onto your gamer account.

Bah, my 360 already RROD back in November, but I knew it was coming even than. My manufacture date on my 360 says 2005-12-16! Motherf*cking 2005! I got my 360 on Jan 1st of 2006 I think it was as I was strolling through Wal-Mart and happened to find one.

By private setting do you mean showing how long have you been off and what was the last thing you were doing? Like mine? If so, you have to create an account at MyGamerCard.net (you need to have an Xbox.com account to do this). After you create a profile, you go to 'My MGC' and change the 'GamerCard Options.'

So I downloaded the Iron Man demo yesterday to give it a run. Now, I wasn't expecting much from it, since it's a movie game, however I thought it'd be a touch better than this. The controls are awkward, the aiming is sh*te, and it looks like a generally poor game.

Guess I won't download the Iron man demo then. Turns out my 360 does not have the falcon chip. I hope it doesn't sh*t out on me anytime soon after a full year of RRoD free gaming.

Hm. When I first tried it, the controls were a bit wonky, but I found after a few minutes they were a bit fun. It was cool being able to fly, shoot that huge ass laser, missles and shooty things from your arm.

Same here, the controls were very awkward. The aiming was rubbish, the aiming cursor was all over the screen for me. The flying controls were rubbish aswell everytime i wanted to go up i always went down and smacked into the floor, stupid reverse controls.

 

Although a plus point was it did look pretty nice graphically.
