  I don't understand how you can NOT be aggressive in COD4, your shooting at each other. And Unsporting? That doesn't even make sense, I don't talk it all, so It's not like I insult anyone. Wow, the rating system sucks.

Dude, recheck it. "Unsporting" and "Aggressive" deal with your behavior in the game, not what you say or don't say.

 

Unsporting might be you weren't really helping your team whatsoever and being a weak link (something of that nature) and "Aggressive"... well... just being overly aggressive. I can't really define that one. I suppose that's more of a "charge in and go apesh*t but get killed constantly to the point where the enemy finds it more of an annoyance to have you charging all of the time."

Anyway, back on the subject of ME, awesome game, I got a used copy for 50$ and every dollar was worth it, the replayability is awesome, I think it probably was the best RPG of 2007, although the controls take slight getting used to. However that's a not a big deal, only thing that sucks is getting stuck on a Thresher maw, aside from that there are only a few graphical issues, but it's definately worth it.

Dude, you should've bought it new. When you buy used games, all of that money goes to the retailer and non to the developer. Support the game makers, not the game sellers.

Yeah, places like GameStop only get a 15% cut of the profit of a new game. Cut out the middleman if you ask me, haha. Get the money to the people who deserve it. Stop the game retailer's profits!

hello everybody, i just bought a 360 today. (about damn time)

 

here's my question,

 

which of these 3 games should i buy? I only have enough money to buy one:

 

*gears of war

*halo 3

*mass effect

 

note:I probaly won't have live until my next pay raise.

If it were me, I'd get Halo 3 first. Even without Live the single player is epic.

Get Halo 2 and play it on your 360. It's at least $20 cheaper and delivers the same exact experience. Yeah. I said it.

 

Get Gears Of War dude. Gears Of War lets you CHAINSAW people in HALF. Gritty, simple, visceral, cover-based action not to be missed. The mutliplayer is fun as hell, but you have to learn it pretty quick since people don't play the multiplayer like you're supposed to play it.

 

On the other hand, if you like deep, engaging gameplay and an interesting storyline, go with Mass Effect.

When I put the disc in, I hear a "ERR" kind of noise a few times, then its fine. It also comes up randomly during load times.

 

But yeah, you grow to ignore it eventually. Sounds scary nonetheless.

Yeh I wish it was like the Ps2 where you could drop it and flip it upside down, and put it on its side while you still played the game. The Ps2 was so durable. The big one, not the small one.

I don't have skate., unfortunately. I was going to buy it, but I heard there were some issues that needed to be fixed for the sequel. I've decided to wait on the next version of the game and by then the experience should be leaps and bounds ahead of the original.

Doubt it, it's an awesome game that is going to be hard to improve on. I've not noticed anything wrong with it.

The first day I got my 360 I tried to move it while playing Saints Row. It made some horrific grinding sound. Never did that again.

There's no DLC for skate, you don't have to have gold to download the DLC but you need microsoft points for some of the DLC.

Well, Burnout Paradise was 59.99, whereas a used copy of Burnout Revenge was only 9.99.

 

And based on from what I've been hearing of the 2 games in comparison, I'm pretty sure Revenge was the obvious choice.

Well, that is a big difference in price....but Revenge is still good so not that bad of a decision. Paradise is great though, you should give it a go. You can download the demo of it...

So anyway it says "Your account is suspended" when I try and sign on live, im like WTF I have the email they sent in January saying it was confirmed for another 12months. So I give them a call.

My credit card expired, I didnt know. When they new one arrived I cut the old one up and carried on. Xbox didnt email me and I was playing it last month without a problem, anyway that was that. So I asked how much it was, they said £39.99...I know its atleast £5 cheaper at Play.com/Amazon so I said id get a card myself because they had pissed me off.

 

So I did a quick search and found a guy selling them on Ebay, checked his feedback and its all good, The price was HALF what MS was selling them at, im not usually one for price moaning but HALF PRICE! So I took the chance, ordered one.

It arrived within 25mins on an email, I entered the code, 13months Gold straight away, how excellent is that.

 

So I have actually had 3 free months this year, and now I get 13months for £20.00!

I'm not entirely sure, but I always left my 1st 360 vertical. In the last month or so of it's incredibly short life, the DVD drive began to make horrible noises and cracked my Skate disk. My replacement 360 is going to remain horizontal, and so far I haven't had any problems with it.

 

I have noticed that the DVD tray isn't supported properly anymore (it just kind of hangs there when it is sticking out, and I can gently wobble it up and down... it wasn't like this when I first unpackaged it, so something must have broke... I haven't done one rough thing to it, however), and I know my 1st 360 had the same problem. I think the only reason why my replacement isn't eating discs is because gravity is keeping the disc down. Or something, I don't know.

 

I'm far from an expert, but I've read on the internet that the 360 is so cheaply made that there aren't foam stabilizers in the DVD tray to make it so the disc cannot wobble. So, from that, I think horizontal makes the most sense. But then, there is less heat dispertion because a larger surface area of the 360 is flat on the floor... Honestly, I have no clue. Anyone else know?

I like the horizontal better, since there's less chance of it falling over and it's easier to put your discs in. If you're gonna do that though, you have to make sure it's not on carpet or a surface that will stop it from ventilating, which will make it over heat. (RROD)

Yeah, I searched him up and he has the same offers for US and Canada. I'll keep an eye on this.

 

I also bought the Xbox VGA cable (to hook up to a computer monitor). It looks great so far. You can actually read small text contrary to my dog sh*t SD TV. My only problem is that I need a female to female 3.5mm coupler for the sound to work properly. I'm too lazy to run to Radioshack to pick one up, but I'll get around to it.

 

Also, is it me, or is the color a bit saturated on a monitor?
