hello everybody, i just bought a 360 today. (about damn time)

 

here's my question,

 

which of these 3 games should i buy? I only have enough money to buy one:

 

*gears of war

*halo 3

*mass effect

 

note:I probaly won't have live until my next pay raise.

If it were me, I'd get Halo 3 first. Even without Live the singleplayer is epic.

If it were me, I'd get Halo 3 first. Even without Live the single player is epic.

Get Halo 2 and play it on your 360. It's at least $20 cheaper and delivers the same exact experience. Yeah. I said it.

 

Get Gears Of War dude. Gears Of War lets you CHAINSAW people in HALF. Gritty, simple, visceral, cover-based action not to be missed. The mutliplayer is fun as hell, but you have to learn it pretty quick since people don't play the multiplayer like you're supposed to play it.

 

On the other hand, if you like deep, engaging gameplay and an interesting storyline, go with Mass Effect.

Well... Mass Effect is going to take up a lot of your time, although it has no multiplayer... Or you cuold buy Gears Of War if you're planing on playing multiplayer games.

i have another little question:

 

some people said that if i buy VGA cable that has made by another company (not MS) the colors would be darker. could this be true :S

 

MS's VGA cable is very expensive at here   (also the xbox is expensive too because MS is not officialy selling it on Turkey i'll pay 450 f*ckin dollars on an arcade

I had to pay more too, everything here costs twice as much...

 

I don't know if any other companies make VGA cables, I bought the official xbox VGA cable.

How does the xbawks look on a PC monitor? Does it look like a normal PC game? I have a SD TV and I'm grabbing a VGA cable this weekend. 360 graphics and SD TV's aren't friends.

The graphics are HD the resolution is only smaller, unless you have a huge ass computer monitor.

Now is the key word. During the development it might of been owned by Lucas Arts, but on the box I see MS game studios, and no mention to any Lucas Arts guys, but I digress.

Anyway, back on the subject of ME, awesome game, I got a used copy for 50$ and every dollar was worth it, the replayability is awesome, I think it probably was the best RPG of 2007, although the controls take slight getting used to. However that's a not a big deal, only thing that sucks is getting stuck on a Thresher maw, aside from that there are only a few graphical issues, but it's definately worth it.

Dude, you should've bought it new. When you buy used games, all of that money goes to the retailer and non to the developer. Support the game makers, not the game sellers.

Mine has a decent hum to it when I turn it on. Though I think that's mostly the fans.

 

But yeah, it should make sound when you put a disc in, otherwise your disc isn't spinning. It would be nice if they could cut the noise a 360 makes down a bit though.

 

Just wondering, how noisy is yours?
