I don't put it on the side because that is essentially covering up half of the vents, and we all know you dont want a 360 to get overheated. And trying to use something smaller to balance it on that doesn't span the whole length of the console(the vents are at the very top and bottom, so maybe a book in the middle), then you still risk having it tip over. I'll call Gamestop and ask around about this disc re-surfacing thing. Meh.

Doesn't Microsoft have a disc replacement plan in place?

How much does xbox live cost, if any?

$7 per month.

$20 for 3 months (this is what I usually go with).

$50 (I think, I could be wrong) for 6 months.

I work at a GameStop...I know our store doesn't resurface disks. From what I understand, you cant even resurface those rings out.

Heres a little tip, although slightly illegal, it works. Go rent the game you f*cked up with the scorched ring. Family Video rental stores work best because they use a sticker in the center ring ofthe disc that can be taken off with a little bit of razor work. Swap out the disc, swap out the sticker, and return the game complaining of a bad disc. You will get a free rental on top of trading out your crappy game. Score.

Haha, I've heard of that strategy, but I've never thought about complaining about the scratches for a free rental.

Only thing is, most rental stores will check the disc after taking it out of the case.

Well, I had Burnout Revenge scrape the insides of my console...and thats how I fixed it. Seems to work pretty well. Maybe my local rental store is just retarded.

Buddy of mine got Burnout Paradise for his 360. We compared and I thought his looked better notify.gif

But when you get live for a year does that include cash to use at the Marketplace or no?

Have you opened your RGB channel to full under your PS3 settings? (It's a stupid thing you shouldn't have to do to make your games look proper)

No it doesn't cover purchases on the Marketplace, that's what Microsoft points are for. (Although the 1 year starter kit does come with 200 MS points)

Well it comes with a month free Live subscription, and by the time that's up, I'll have already bought a year subscription.

Well, he had his HDMI cable, I didnt. But I changed mine to output 1080p, but it was on standard cables. Only 200 though? How much are add-ons usually?

There's your problem.....and I don't think you can output HD on a standard cable....or by standard did you mean component?

EDIT:

I mentioned the disc replacement plan earlier....well here is more information on it:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemus...ent-program.htm

Try doing that Dude5000.....you could get a free replacement I think...

Yeah...called the Gamestop. They don't repair discs, but they do buy damaged discs like mine. The game is worth $16, but with the refurbish fee that knocks my profit down to $12. So the game will cost me $48 to re-buy.

Yipee.

I am not sure if you saw my post but Microsoft has a disc replacement plan...you should just fill in the form and send it to them for a replacment.

Only problem is only a hand-full of MS published games are able to be replaced, infact the list is abismal as you'll see below and doesn't include Rock Band!

* Crackdown™

* Fuzion Frenzy 2

* Gears Of War®

* Halo® 2

* Halo® 3

* Kameo™: Elements of Power™

* Ninety Nine Nights™

* Perfect Dark Zero™

* Project Gotham Racing® 3

* Viva Piñata™

* Xbox Live® Arcade Unplugged Vol. 1

Is anybody else pissed off that Resistance 2 on the PS3 is getting 60 player servers online with 8 player co-op?

I mean we actually have to pay money for Xbox Live, and it makes me really mad to hear that free multiplayer on the PS3 can get a better server with 60 players online?

Well, you get your DLC, and custom systems!

But I highly doubt it will be 60, it may reduce down to 40 I heard.

I've done sixty player deathmatches on PC games. Trust me, it's no where near as good as it sounds. More people means more nine year olds who think it's "cool" to talk like a sailor.

If your a host, then I just boot them off. But I dont care about them. If there on the other team, you kill them until they get P.O.'d and leave. If there on your team, friendly fire is friendly tounge.gif

See how smooth a 60 player game runs before feeling bad about it

I'm sure the game and servers are being specially optimized to hold that many. They're not going to release the game with that sort of statement and not be able to hold to it. At first I thought it might be too many people and just be a headache of an experience, but more people means more kills. The maps better be huge as sh*t to carry that workload as well.

I don't care how much they reduce it as long as the online experience feels good.

I heard Frontlines: Fuel Of War will have 50 players on Dedicated servers
