Kinect, to be exact, So far it seems Tripmills likes his. I keep checking the pawnshop prices on the Kinect and HDD additions to the system.

The prices are not budging much. A used Kinect will set you back about $110 USD

Changing your gamertag is down in price from 800 to 560, I don't want to change mine now because it's also my second ID on many websites. I hate it, but I've also become attached to it. I first got xbl in Aug '08 and I went thru two gt's in the space of a few weeks. They were "RockMeJoe" and "uK Mr Joe"

I got off before the reply, forgive the delay, but it's MY UNDERSTANDING, you can get and unlock achievements just having a VALID XBL account, it does not mean you must be in MP mode, and it doesn't mean you need to have paid for GOLD status either.

So how would anyone obtain THIS without playing online?

Dudes, you really must CALM down and think logically. The idea is that Single player only requires you have setup an account, not that you buy Gold in terms of the Xbox360, and both SP and MP events are covered in the Achievement area of game play activity. IF and WHEN you can afford the MS model Pay to Play Online (not PSN obviously) then you can work on those of which you speak so glowingly. I'm pointing out you can still have a Silver status account and unlock them so long as you set up an account, via PC if you must

What the f*ck are you going on about? You CANNOT earn Online achievements without playing online, i really don't know how i can make this clearer without sitting you down and drawing some pretty pictures in coloured crayons.

If there is an Achievement that requires you to kill 50 people online, you wont get it if you dont go online and kill 50 people. Period.

Listen, if you don't know the FACTS, then don't post.

Please avoid telling people stuff that's just not true.

If you continue, I have no qualms about sending you away.

Thanks for making my brain hurt dozingoff.gif

Anyway, the new DotW is 30% off for name changing. I personally think that changing your gamertag is completely useless and a waste of 800MS (in this case 560MS), so just letting you know.

Well ordered my new slim Xbox. Apparently it will be here by Friday smile.gif Not quite sure what to do with my Xbox though. Its on its last legs from what I can tell when playing LA Noire (which I haven't touched in over 2 weeks because of the problem) I was thinking of selling it on Ebay but I don't really want the hassle of someone buying it then giving me sh*t for it breaking down within 2 weeks or so. What do you guys think, sell it on Ebay, give it to one of my close family friends (they have kids and would probably enjoy it) or just keep it?

Could still go for the Ebay sell, just put on the description its faulty and list exactly whats wrong with it ETC.

People still buy faulty and even broken consoles to try and fix, or just to take certain parts out of it. At least that way you wont get a blood hungry gamer messaging you asking why the xbox you sold him has completely broke down tounge.gif

This.

That is exactly what I did with my old one. I gave it to a workmate who doesn't make allot of money and has 2 young boys. If you don't need it and you have the opportunity to help out someone who may be less fortunate, it is a good way to make some kids happy while feeling good about doing it.

I'm not sure I can watch a movie anymore without being able to say "xbox pause" in order to run to the kitchen to get a fresh beverage.

Few years ago and we'd probably think talking to a TV was rather weird, lol.

I was thinking it would be good for them. But its just a case of maybe seeing what games I could throw in to since I know I was going to sell Brotherhood since I've completed it. I'll give it the rest of the week and give it a thought - probably ask my dad if any of his friends would want it.

Hope it arrives safely bro, if you are talking about the console, just keep it.

We live in a generation where we have to check carefully if somebody talking to themself is in fact crazy, or just on the phone/360.

IMO, name changing should be made free to everyone, but limited to something like 3 a year or something like that.

Exactly every period of time you have the chance to change your GT or it should be free all year round, and BTW Butters I added you on Live.

And I wouldn't say it should be unlimited, as wouldn't this make extra work for M$'s systems?

It all about the money bro, at least we should not pay for online gaming.

Silver account, Xbox Live, You CAN get achievements .... I don't accept the previous 'answer' as 'proof'. You have to convince me, not just say something and it becomes fact. What is true is Gold or Silver, you're still connected to XBox Live and any Networking.

I'm sure of my reply because I was asking in-game, about how to get certain achievements, for example in Red Dead Red, knocking someone down or out in various saloons, it's not done in the Multiplayer section of gaming

Yes, and as usual, you took the wrong end of the conversation and started rambling on. The point was, you cannot earn online achievements if you only have a silver account. Having Silver just means you are connected to the Live network...you can't play games online...so how could you get an achievement that, for example, is something like "get 100 kills in an online match"....

I'm sorry but you are an idiot.

I never said Multiplayer in what I was "on about" That's for Gold, obviously

I don't think "obviously" was the word to use.

No point was impressed upon me

I'm just amazed at this one.

No point was impressed upon me, so say what you want, the fact of this matter is Single Player is my topic of discussion and referral.

I looked over the one I was quoting, Butter's originally, and then already a response generally made about the online ones, where Gold is in fact, the case. Let mine stand just as an FYI, then, I would expand on the ideas of Achievements to say that you can now gain them via phone IIRC, so not just one method of using XBL active and offline, in a Single player setting, I am not even sure how the PC end works for this, I just was stating there's both available for Xbox owners. Online Achievements and non-online ones

At the argument of whether you need online achievements and sh*t.

Please no more discussion on this, it's been sorted.

Do you also run up after a fist fight ends and yell "GUYS STOP!"?
